Morgan ate most of her rice (with milk) and about half of her raisins at breakfast. At lunch she ate everything -- meatloaf, cooked carrots, dried apricots and french bread.
Morgan and Gary were harassing and teasing each other for about the better part of 20 minutes today. Morgan would start to move away and wait for Gary to get her again. He was tickling her for part of it and when he stopped, she would make sure he could reach her armpit or whatever he had been tickling (especially under her neck). She also kept going over to him and flopping onto his lap or against his arm to initiate more. It was really cute!
Morgan sat at the picnic table pretending to eat for about 15 minutes today. It started out with about 5 of the kiddos over their pretending to either cook or eat. After about six or seven minutes they all went to do something different and Morgan continued to "eat" the food for several more minutes.
Morgan didn't have any melt-downs today and was a great listener all morning. Even the couple times that I did have to redirect her, she didn't get upset about it at all and even said, "OK" after I modeled it once when I talked to her about something.

Morgan ate seconds on both cinnamon toast and grapes at breakfast. At lunch she ate a taste of the canned cherries and all of her mashed potatoes, dinner roll and home-made chicken strips.
Morgan has been struggling when Baby Peyton comes this week. She will be playing along just fine until she sees them then she races me to the gate and stands there and fusses with her arms up (wanting me to hold her) until after they leave. Today we remembered before the fact and Gary took her to the window and distracted her while I helped Peyton transition in. It worked great!
After Gary had done that, she wasn't ready to give up his attention and ended up snuggling with him for about 10 more minutes. Gary didn't mind filling her little love tank (and teasing her a little also)! : )
She and Kenzie were serenading us with quite the performance today. They were both sitting at the little picnic table and using it as their drums. They were both really getting a kick out of it (chuckling and grinning from ear to ear). Usually we would discourage them being quite that loud, but they were having such a good time that we let it go. We knew they would lose interest before long.
Morgan loved it when Everson asked her if she wanted him to comb her hair with the dress up combs. They are the huge wide toothed type so don't pull bad. Morgan plopped right down in front of him and pointed to her head. Everson combed and "fixed" her hair for about 15 minutes. She just sat there with a very dreamy look on her face!

Morgan ate all of her peaches and seconds on whole wheat bagel at breakfast. At lunch she ate a bite of salad with ranch dressing, all of her corn and seconds on homemade macaroni and cheese with ham.
Morgan loved it every time we sang, "Happy Birthday" to Gary today. She would look at him and wave like crazy. Sometimes she would start singing "to you" and others she would start dancing around. No matter what, she was very enthusiastic about it!
Morgan was really scrubbing on her ears today and yawning, even pretty early this morning. She acted tired in other ways too, so I don't think her ears were really bugging her, just a tired motion like scrubbing eyes.
Morgan only had a couple melt-downs today and listened better overall. She was still pretty testy at times, especially with Jadey. No matter what toy she had, Morgan wanted it and tried to take it away. She and Joslyn also had a couple screaming matches over toys and even a couple with Kenzie. Before Kenzie was just giving up whatever Morgan tried to take from her, but she sticking up for her wants now, so... : )

Morgan ate all of her pears and thirds on blueberry muffins at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her sweet potatoes and a bite of both her oranges and her tuna on crackers.
Morgan made a three block piece mini motorcycle all by herself and was scooting it all around the block side of the big room alongside the big boys with their big bikes. : )
Morgan was very feisty and had several melt-downs when redirected or otherwise didn't get her way. She was really trying to take toys from the other kiddos, trying to ignore us when we talked to her, and hitting at the kiddos. The melt-downs were not super long, but more intense than they have been lately. It made me think that maybe she hadn't slept enough or well last night by the way she was acting.
Morgan was very sweet to Kenzie. She was taking her toy after toy and piling it on her lap or the floor in front of her. Each time, Kenzie rewarded her with a big smile, which kept Morgan quite motivated.

Morgan ate all of her chex cereal and a bite of her fruit salad. At lunch she ate the bread off of her roast beaf sandwich and all of the apple slices and drank all of her soup. She drank the soup out of an open cup really well and only spilt a small amount.
Morgan is always so excited to wake up the fish when she comes. She copies me when I tell them to "Wake up!" She then starts chuckling when I plug them in and they start moving around.
Morgan is so very opinionated and lets everyone know her opinions loudly and in no uncertain terms. For example, after Morgan was done with her Chex this morning he dumped her fruit into her bowl off of her little paper plate and then threw the plate in the trash. That is what we do with all of the kiddos in that case. Anyway, that wasn't what she was expecting or wanted somehow and she just went ballistic! It took about 10 minutes to recover.
I got the kiddos singing "Happy birthday to you" to Gary (in prep for his birthday Wednesday) and Morgan was singing right along with us, "to you, to you, to you" and then waving at him. It was really cute!
