Morgan ate no mandarin oranges but seconds on oatmeal at breakfast. She was very fussy, so I put her down right after she was done with breakfast. She only slept for about an hour and woke up very fussy. She was extremely fussy unless I was holding her until lunch. She actually kind of fussed off and on throughout lunch too. She did end up eating seconds on meatloaf and all of her whole wheat french bread and her kiwi and carrots.
I know you said she didn't sleep well or long enough last night so maybe she was just still sleepy. We may have woke her up before she was ready when we transitioned to the back rooms from the big room. I lay her down not long after lunch because she was so fussy and she went right back to sleep. Hopefully when she wakes up this afternoon she will be rested and back to her happy little self. : )
This morning Morgan was really into waving and saying both "Hi!" and "Bye" at the parents when they came and left dropping off kiddos. It was really cute. The parents thought it was just adorable!
The nice thing about Morgan being tired this morning was that Connor, Gary and I all got cuddle time with her! She was more than happy to snuggle with whoever wanted to. We have to take advantage of that when we can! : )

Morgan ate seconds on pancakes with a little bit of syrup on it and a taste of blue berries (what a face!) at breakfast. I really haven't found much she doesn't like, but that is one of them! At lunch she ate a bite of her dried mango bits, seconds on squash and all of her chicken breast and her dinner roll.
Morgan didn't take a morning nap (only had a couple brief fussy times). She was so busy crawling and walking all over every room we were in. She is to the point now where she wants to see what everyone else is doing also. She will move to where someone is and watch or try to join then move on to something or someone else.
Morgan really likes the igloo and will play in it both by herself and with anyone else willing to crawl in and out or peek with her. I think it is really cute when she peeks out of it into the mirror and chuckles at herself. She also loves it when I play peek-a-boo with her there and will really laugh.
She was picking up, holding and actually putting one of the stuffed bears up to her neck, cuddling it repeatedly today. It was so cute! I imitated her and cuddled one of my own and she loved that and put hers back up to her neck and shoulder and loved on it some more. What a sweetie!
She and Connor were giving each other loves again today. This time it was on top of the soft climber. Morgan was sitting there and when she saw Connor climbing up she held her arms out. She went over and sat kind of on her in front of her and leaned forward to love her. She just wrapped her arms around him with a huge grin and loved him right back. Oh.... : )

Morgan ate seconds on both applesauce and cinnamon toast at breakfast. At lunch she ate a bite of her orange slices and all of her corn and peas and seconds on macaroni and cheese with ham. She did leave a few bite of the ham, but ate most of it.
Morgan is so funny and independent. I get such a kick out of when she starts to walk over to me so I put my arms out and prompt, "Come see me, Morgan." She invariably detours away from me and on to something else. If I didn't know that she liked me, it might be devastating to my ego. Talk about getting the cold shoulder!
Morgan loves hanging out in the book area. She might look at a couple pictures here and there, but she is mostly enthralled with taking pulling book after book out of the book shelf and tossing it or laying it on the floor.
Morgan went over to the window on her own after breakfast today and said, "Hi" and started waving very energetically.
I switched her slippers back to the old ones today. The new ones just weren't staying on. They came off several times yesterday too, but today I literally couldn't keep them on her.
You should have seen her playing with and loving on Connor. She literally sat on his lap facing him and then leaned over and hugged him, laying her head on his shoulder and side of his head. He was loving it and it was totally adorable! They didn't stay that was long enough to get a picture. : (
They were also playing in and around the igloo (peek and getcha type games), doing goofy things on the mattress and soft climber like rolling around, bouncing while sitting or standing, and doing the upside down thing like she is about to do a somersault. They were both really enjoying it and doing lots of smiling and chuckling at each other. Watching them interact was so fun!

Morgan didn't want to eat anything at breakfast (or even drink any milk). She really hadn't been fussy up to that point, but that must have been the last straw for her, because she had a pretty good melt down. I obviously put her down for a morning nap and she went right to sleep. She woke up crying after only 20 minutes, so I went in and checked on her and she had lost her binky. I gave it back to her and she went right back to sleep and ended up sleeping for close to another hour.
At lunch Morgan made up for missing breakfast and ate seconds on both french fries and hamburger bun. She also ate all of her actual hamburger meat and her green beans.
Hey! She said "Hi Lauralea!" here today too. She was on the mattress playing with the stuffed bears and stopped for a minute, looked at me, then said "Hi Lauralea!" Oh.... : )
Morgan was very busy first thing this morning (before the breakfast melt down). She was walking around putting the toy drill in one of the cups. The way she was doing it really did look like she was drilling it! : ) When I commented about what she was doing, she looked at me with a very proud look.
Not only was Morgan pretending to talk on one of the play flip phones today, she was actually pressing on the dial pad like she was calling someone. I hadn't seen her do that before today. It is always fun to watch as their play expands more and more. It often seems to happen with the common dramatic play things like telephone play or eating first.
Kenzie was pretty fussy after her morning nap before lunch so Gary took Morgan in with him and his kiddos after she woke up from her morning nap (since he only has 4 right now and I have 6). She is pretty much as comfortable with him as she is with me. Sometimes if she is upset, she prefers me, but she was a happy camper this morning, so that wasn't an issue. : )

Morgan obviously didn't come for breakfast. At lunch she ate thirds on cheese pizza and all of her steamed cauliflower and her tropical fruit. I was kind of surprised that she ate that well, because she was extremely tired and fussy by that time. She didn't have a morning nap. I had to get her binky and blankey to snuggle to help her make it until lunch.
Morgan loves to hang out at the gates even when no one is out in those areas. She is getting much better about not feeling "stuck" and getting down independently, but she still loves to be there. Now the main issue is that if we are out there (fixing breakfast or lunch or whatever) and need to get back into the room, we often have to move her away from the gate door and that usually makes her furious. Silly girl! : )
She was attached to the play pizza cutters today and had one in her hand carrying it around most of the time we were playing in the big room. She wasn't really playing with it or even chewing on it -- just carrying it around. We have noticed that with many of the children, after they start walking, they begin to carry a specific toy around with them -- almost as a security.
I have occasionally called Morgan "Morgie Worgie Doodle all the day" adapted from the old children's song "Polly wally doodle all the day". Well, Everson has picked up on it and seldom calls her anything but, "Morgie Doodle" or "Morgie Doodle all day". It is so cute coming from him. She almost always grins when he does it like she knows it is something cute and special. : )
