Morgan ate seconds on both oatmeal and banana at breakfast this morning. At lunch she ate all of her biscuit, most of her potato casserole and a taste of mandarin oranges.
Morgan was looking for the white curler insides that have the water in it today. They are made so you can immerse them in hot water and it heats the inside of the curler to help it curl better -- kind of like a hot roller. Gary found her a whole handful of curler pieces and she carefully went through them and picked out one of the while ones for each hand. It was great!
Morgan was still a little fussy off and on, but it was pretty sporadic and mostly triggered by not getting something her way. Only one of them lasted very long and that was when she was getting hungry before breakfast.
Keenan was playing with and alongside of Morgan for a while today on the soft climber and mattress. He was copying whatever she did on it -- climbing up, flopping down, tripping on accident, crawling... She was really having fun with it and he was doing a great job of keeping his hands to himself and not being in her space, but still interacting and having fun with her.

Morgan ate no blueberries, but all of her waffles at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her turkey and seconds on dried mango bits, roll and squash.
Morgan was carrying about several of the dress-up curlers today. She was actually trying to put them in (or at least ON) her hair today also. She got one of them to balance up there for a couple seconds and she was just grinning from ear to ear.
Morgan was kind of fussy again today -- mostly from 8:35 through breakfast and then a couple shorter times between 9:30 and 10:30.
Bode was putting one of the dress up robes over his head and walking around and Morgan thought that was hilarious. She kept following him around and trying to pull it off so they could do the "Where's Bode?" game. Bode played along with here very well.
Cypress and Bode were driving the shape sorter vans that are out in the back room back and forth across the room. Morgan would go stand right where they were headed for and then laugh when they came driving toward her at a high rate of speed. Bode thought thought that was funny so then he would do crazy things as he came up to her to try to make her laugh even harder. It was a really cute interaction.

Morgan ate a bite of her fruit and seconds on whole wheat toast at breakfast. At lunch she ate a couple bites of ham, most of her orange bites, all of her crackers and seconds on bean soup (just the beans).
As you warned when you came this morning, Morgan was pretty fussy -- more like last week. She played pretty well for the first 45 minutes then was basically fussy until breakfast. After breakfast she did okay for about 20 minutes then started in again for about a half hour. She did better from about 10:30 until 11:30, but fussed off and on throughout lunch again (which she really hasn't done at all this week).
First thing this morning Morgan got a couple books and wanted up on the couch. She sat there with the book in her lap for a couple minutes. She wasn't even looking at it actually, just sitting there with a dozy look on her face. : )
Our room mate, Kate was over by our dining room table gathering some stuff together and Morgan was over by the big fence/gate. Morgan was saying, "Hi Kay!" several times to her. It was really cute and Kate loved it!
Gary got out our leaf blower (which doubles as a snow blower when it is light and fluffy like this morning. He went out after breakfast and blew the walks off. When he was in the front where the kiddos would see him from the big window, they loved it. Morgan had to be standing up there too -- right in the middle of everyone, watching and squealing excitedly right along with the rest! : )

Morgan ate really well today. She ate all of her cinnamon raisin english muffin and couple bites of pears at breakfast. At lunch she ate seconds on pea pasta salad and applesauce and all of her baked tilapia fish. She did no pointing or whining when I gave her her tray and plate, so that also was awesome.
Morgan was saying "Hi!" to everyone multiple times today. It didn't matter if it was one of the kiddos, a parent or us, she was just quite friendly. : )
She didn't get fussy until right before breakfast this morning. When she saw the tray of food go out to be set up, she had a pretty good tantrum, hoping that would help speed it up, I guess! : ) It didn't and she was a little angry for about 5 minutes until it was ready, but she survived. She had a couple other brief fussy times, but not the longer periods that were pretty constant last week.
One of the times that she fussed was when she kept trying to stand on the couch after I had put her up there with the book she was wanting to read. I reminded her to sit down, then helped her do it twice. When she tried it again I moved her to the floor and said, "Standing is for the floor!" Oh my goodness! She was not happy at me! She plopped herself down, howling, threw the book she had in her hand and gave me quite the look. I just moved away from her and didn't reward the attention and she was done in a minute or so.
Morgan loves carrying about the curlers. She had one in her hand most of the big room time this morning. One set of them is kind of pokey so has an interesting feel and the other kind has water in it, so they can be warmed and used kind of like hot rollers. She carried both of them and shook the watery one up by her ear as if doing it so she could hear it slosh around.
We have a couple books with music buttons on them out with this set of toys. Morgan was looking at one of them and pushing the buttons over and over today.

Morgan had an awesome morning with literally no fussy times at all from the time she got here until nap time! It is amazing what being well rested will do for a kiddo! : )
She had a blast exploring all of the "new" toy exchange stuff. She especially liked looking through the new set of books and bringing them over to the couch to "read".
She also tried out the pop-up toasters, the flip frying pans and a lot of the food toys (as you can see her munching on some toast in the top picture. I was extremely surprised when I tried to put one of the curlers in her hair that she actually seemed to want me to put it in. Then she left it in for a long time. She never did mess with it or try to take it out. It just eventually fell out during the course of play. After I had taken each picture of her, I showed it to her. She had the same response every time. She looked and then did a cute little chuckle! : )
