10/19/12

Morgan ate most of her rice and raisins for breakfast.  At lunch she ate thirds on corn and all of her meat, French bread and carrots.

Morgan put on glasses, hat and boots the started her phone music to dance.  She was kicking her heals up and really getting into it.

Morgan asked Gary to see the bears on the web cam again today and was thrilled when there were two different ones.  They watched one of the bears swim around in the water, with the bear putting his face under to look for fish then back up.  It is so funny and Morgan loves watching.

She was holding and rocking one of the dolls today and singing "Rock-a-bye Baby" so softly and sweetly.  She then made a nice bed in the box for her and "put her to bed".

I was a little chilly this morning after breakfast so I wrapped a blanket around my shoulders.  Morgan and Joslyn each also got a blanket and asked me to help them wrap it around their shoulders.

Morgan tried to push her way up onto the chair where Joslyn was sitting.  Joslyn resisted so I showed Morgan other choices where she could sit.  Morgan stood in front of her for a few seconds, then said, "Jozzy, where can we sit together?"  Joslyn immediate scooted over to make room for her.  It is amazing what using words can do!  : )

Alayna popped in for a short unexpected visit today and it was very nice to see her.  Morgan didn't  really interact with her much, but I thought she still mig mention it to you guys.

Later they were also playing together.  This time in the igloo with the huge bear's head in with them.  It was kind of full in there!

10/18/12

Morgan ate seconds on cinnamon toast and all of her grapes at breakfast.  At lunch Morgan ate seconds on potatoes and dinner roll and all of her chicken and cherries.

Morgan and Aaron played together first thing this morning and they were both working hard to make each other laugh.  Morgan didn't have to do much to make Aaron laugh.  Aaron's task was a little harder, but he was successful a couple times and loved it.

After Joslyn came, she and Morgan decided to go out to the living room area and do puzzles.  They worked together part of the time and independently the rest.

Morgan and Joslyn were playing music through their phones -- must be iPhones!  They were also wearing the dark sunglasses while they were jiving and dancing.  Morgan said, "I need me glasses because I can't see very well without them!"

Morgan makes comments on Thomas food allergies almost every day if not every meal.  This morning it was on why he couldn't have our butter on his bread.  I was great because then we talked about milk being in butter and where  our milk comes from and why Thomas' rice milk is different.

Morgan and Joslyn have played together several times today (there's still no Emily, Kenzie, or Riley.  The Clines extended their farm visit.).  After playing very peacefully together for several minutes one of the times, Morgan glanced up at me with a look of surprise on her face and said, "Jozzy and I are playing nicely together!" with more than a little disbelief in her voice.  : )

Morgan put on  dress-up hat, boots and shirt and came strutting over to announce, "I'm all dressed up!"  Joslyn then had to imitate from the clothes to even the words she said.  It was super funny.

10/17/12

Morgan ate all of her peaches and seconds on "circle bagels" at breakfast.  At lunch she ate thirds on macaroni and cheese and all of her salad with ranch and her corn.

Morgan was the only one here for a while and she was enjoying the extra attention.  We visited, cuddled, I talked for her "favorite dinosaur"' and we looked at books.  When Mia and Noah came she then sat and read stories to her dinosaur herself.  It was super cute as you can see.

When Aaron got here they picked up where they left off last night tug-of-warring with the stuffed snake.  They were having a blast with it last night and started out cracking up again today.

Morgan plays with the stuffed animals so animatedly.  She sorts and lines them up, tries to get them all to stand up,  talks to them and helps them talk to each other.  She had a goose in one hand and a duck in the other and was having them give each other kisses.

Morgan loved watching Coral when she was working on making a embroidery thread friendship bracelet before she left for school to morning.  Later in the morning, Morgan found a string and was making "bows like Coral".

Morgan was a great helper in many ways throughout the day today.  She started with helping me carry a bottle out to the big room for Noah, moved some toys that Mia had packed over to the "wrong" side, found Mia her binky when she lost it and helped me keep Noah safe when he was having some floor time.  Then at lunch she did all of the set up of cups, plates and spoons and even carried some of the accessories (dressing and baby spoons) out from the kitchen.  Thank you Morgan!

10/16/12

Morgan ate seconds on waffles and all of her pears at breakfast.   At lunch she ate all of her orange slices, one cracker and a bite of her sweet potatoes and her tuna.

Morgan  has really been enjoying both the sunglasses and the goggles.  Joslyn was doing it too and then they expanded to using the goggles as necklaces while they were "buying" and "paying for" things.  When Morgan put on the blue tinted glasses she looked around and said, "Hey!  Your house is all blue!"

They were also playing in the box and Morgan was calling Joslyn "Captain Jozzy",  Morgan said it was a "boat box" and Joslyn said it was a "swimming pool",  so I'm not sure how that all worked.  Later on in the morning Morgan called Gary "captain Gary".  Maybe you guys know where that came from because I don't.  I don't think we have read or had any songs with the word captain in it.  : )

Morgan is using one of the camp hats for her "grocery bag".  She had several pieces of food in it and then had it all gathered up together at the top.  One of the things in it was a chocolate ice cream cone.  She looked at it and announced, "I think I like brown ones."  I think I do too!

Morgan said she wanted to sing songs.  I got them started but she was mostly the leader after that.   She told us what to sing next and was singing just as loud as I was.

Morgan made a big bear barricade to protect her and several of the little stuffed animals from intrusion.  She did a great job of using her  words with both Mia and Thomas, and we enforced her words.  I Love it when she does it that way.   She loves to just lay on the floor on her back and play with the different creatures, stuffed or plastic.  It really doesn't seem to matter.

We were looking at the pictures in the fisher price camera and Morgan  could name all but four -- bison, lizard, orangutan, and the deer.  I thought it was funny that she didn't know the deer, but they were very spotted and didn't look exactly like the ones around here.  I love the way she was saying "himopotomus"!

10/15/12

Morgan ate all of her Chex cereal  and a couple bites of fruit salad at breakfast.  At lunch she ate all of her meatballs, bread, olives and apples, as well as a couple bites of broccoli cauliflower salad.  We subbed today because we had left overs from our family dinner Saturday night.

Neither Kenzie nor Emily were here today so Morgan played mostly independently, or sat with me and visited.  We looked at some pictures together, my night sky app on the iPad and talked about her dinosaurs.  Very peaceful...

Morgan, Joslyn, Aaron and Thomas were having a pop cycle party with the play pop cycles first on the floor right in front of the gate and then moved to the table with them.  Morgan lead the way in the move.

Morgan has used no aggressive motions at all today. She has been using her words great. A couple different times one of the babies started to bug her but she didn't push them at all.

Gary said something to me and Morgan said "What! What are we talking about?"  She cracks me up!

Morgan started playing with the dinosaurs in the back room. She likes to line them up and sort them by type.  She. asked me why there was "scary ones".  I think that meant the ones with their mouths open. :-). She lay them all over then said they were "taking a nap".

Morgan was very excited about the new stuffed animals with this toy exchange, especially the three bigger dinosaur ones.  She played with them over by the mattress and balance beam for a while then took them into the igloo to play with them.   She especially likes this one and told Gary, "his name is Bup, Bup the dinosaur".
