Morgan ate all of her whole wheat mini bagel and a bite of peaches at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her corn, salad with ranch and macaroni and cheese (homemade) and a bite or two of her ham.
Kenzie, Morgan and Jadey were all pretending they were riding on a
"school bus". One of them (Morgan, I think) saw a school bus go by the
big window and that is what started the whole thing. When I asked where
they were going on the school bus, they said to "Costco" so I don't
think they quite get what school buses are for, but it was really cute.
They were using the climber/balance bean and were all sitting on the
beam with their faces toward the wall for the bus.
I facilitated some "lunch" play at the little
picnic table (helping them set the table with plates, cups, spoons and
food). All the kiddos participated briefly, but Morgan and Kenzie
stayed long after I had moved away. Both of them were pretending to eat
one of the play carrots. Morgan was calling it hers a "lollipop" and
Kenzie said it was "my spindach". I am assuming that was 'spinach' but not sure, since we don't serve spinach here.
Morgan was doing her great "backflips" again today and them coming over to give me five while saying, "Morgie team!" Obviously Thomas and Alayna were observing what she was doing because they would also do some great gymnastics feat on the mattress then race over for their high five! : )
Morgan and Jadey were sitting by each other and whispering in each other's ears today. When I see something like this it always makes me wonder what they are saying! : )

3/27/12
Morgan ate all of her blueberry muffin and pears at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her sweet potatoes and tuna on saltines and a couple bites of her oranges.
Morgan was watching me start taking notes and asked me what I was writing. I asked her what she thought I should write about her and she said, "Piece of work!" Gary has her convinced that she is a "piece of work" obviously! ; )
Morgan was looking at several books. For almost every one of them, she was either counting things on the pages or singing the ABCs. She is getting quite accurate with her counting and one-to-one correspondence.
Morgan must have said, "I kinda tired" at LEAST 20 times from 9:30 to 10:30 this morning. Part of the time she was just kind of sitting or laying around and the rest of the time she was playing pretty typically.
I showed Morgan and Kenzie how they could push the little 'push and go' airplanes back and forth to each other. They sat about 4 feet from each other and had a blast doing it for about 20 minutes. About half way through they got up and switched places. Morgan verbalized what they were doing by saying, "We traded spotses". : )

Morgan ate all of her Chex cereal and most of her fruit at breakfast. At lunch she ate a couple bites of her roast beef sandwich and all of her tomato soup and her apple slices.
Morgan was very excited that both she and I had on "short sleeves". She had to tell several of the kiddos that had long sleeves on that "we match", despite their lack or interest or distress that they didn't "match" also.
Morgan had been calling her Tinkerbell shirt a "Cinderella" shirt. Kenzie was NOT going to let that pass. She adamantly corrected Morgan each time she called it Cinderella until Morgan finally gave up and started calling it Tinkerbell. You might say that Kenzie is pretty persuasive to even get to Morgan! : ) Then, like I told you, Morgan started singing "Tinkerbell, tinker bell, tinker all the way" to Jingle Bells. It was so funny!
Kenzie, Morgan and Jadey all took turns being the doctor and the patients, with Morgan being the doctor the majority of the time. One of the times Kenzie lay down in front of Doctor Morgan and said, "Will you fix me, Doctor?" That just cracked me up! A little later Joslyn joined them briefly and Morgan announced, "I fixin' Jozzy!" : )
The kiddos all really liked my new Teddy Bear with a football shirt. It facilitated the singing of the 'Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, Turn around" song multiple times throughout the day. Then that somehow got changed to "Terry BURP, Terry burp" and they all thought that was hilarious. I am not sure if Kenzie or Morgan started it, but it took off like wild fire.

Morgan asked to "do puzzles" first thing this morning. I don't know if she just wanted some alone time and space or really wanted to do the puzzles, but she did spent about 10 -12 minutes doing puzzles either way.
When Morgan and I were "having a visit" this morning I asked her how she was doing with being a good listener. She immediately looked at me with her big innocent eyes and said plainly, "Not so good!" I had such a hard time not cracking up! What a smart little whooper!
I think she may have been predicting the rest of the day when she said the "Not so good" rather than how it had been going. : ) It really didn't matter what types of choices I gave her, how positively I worded what I said, or how much I filled her little love tank with cuddles she whined and fussed quite a bit. I knew she hadn't slept well the night before, so tried extra hard to prevent issues and work from her strengths and desires, but it didn't work more than about half the time. There was only one major melt-down though, so I thought that wasn't too bad.
Morgan was looking at one of the books in the book rack today there were two chicks on the last page. One of the chicks looked pleasant and the other one looked either sad or angry. Morgan was "reading" the book to me and said, "He's nice" about the pleasant looking one and "He's grumpy" about the other one. Pretty good assessments, I would say.

Morgan played with the food stuff quite a bit today. First of all she went over and started filling the table with stuff and announced, "I gonna set up table". Of course, that looked like a lot of fun and soon everyone was piling things on the table (even Peyton and Thomas) until there was hardly anything on the floor.
A while after that exciting activity was over, Morgan started bringing food item after food item over for me to identify for her. There were onions, peppers, celery, shish-kabobs... After I would tell her what they were she would take it over to Kenzie and pass on her newly found knowledge. It was really cute.
Even later in the morning Morgan decided that carrots had multiple purposes and she started using them as drumsticks on the floor as she sang "Twinkle" and "Mary had a little lamb". : )
Morgan and Jadey decided they could NOT play with Kenzie together today and were trying fight over her nearly constantly. I finally separated them so that Jadey had a turn playing with Kenzie for a while then it switched so that Morgan had a turn. Morgan talked about "Daddy taking 'cubby' to doctor" at least 6 times today. I could tell it was on her mind and bothering her so I let her talk about it as long and much as she wanted. She didn't say much more than that, but always came over to cuddle while she was talking about it.
Morgan was doing a great job of moving away from the kiddos when they were in her space or she just wanted to be alone. She wasn't yelling at them or trying to push them away. I asked her if she wanted to go outside the fence to do puzzles where no one would bug her and she was very excited about that. She stayed out there and did puzzles for a long time and when she came back in she said, "There no more puzzles" which probably meant that she had done them all.
Morgan picked up one of the play shish-kabobs and called it a "lollipop" today. She then proceeded to lick it and use it like a lollipop. She was also singing pieces of the lollipop song we have on one of our CDs.
Morgan likes using the stethoscopes, but not in the traditional way. One of the things she was doing with it was putting it in her ears where the go, then pushing the rest of it above her head and calling it her "head band". She then was "listening to heart" with the ear part around her waist. Silly Morgan! : )

We have the medical play stuff out and the kiddos all really like those items. We have a neck brace from when I had whip lash many years ago. Morgan was having a blast putting it on top of her head and wearing it like a crown. Of course, all of the other kiddos had to have a turn wearing it also.
Morgan has picked out her favorite doll in this set. It is the one with the eyes that open and shut without the "owie". One of them has an eye that has rolled back in her head and we can't get it to come back down. They all call it the baby with the owie and take it to the "doctor" to try to get it fixed frequently.
Morgan and Jadey were taking turns sitting on each others lap and being the baby. Jadey kept trying to get Morgan to lay down in her arms, but when she did, Morgan was too heavy and Jadey couldn't hold her upright. Morgan thought that was funny.
Morgan was jumping on and doing somersaults on the mattress today, yelling "Yay me team!" then racing over to me to get a high five. She is so cute!

Morgan was very happy to hear that it was Emily's birthday today, although she was determined that it was "Daddeos" instead of Emily's at first. After the initial convincing, she wanted to sing "happy birthday" to her over and over. : )
Emily got a book out of the book rack today and Morgan asked me, "Where that one come from?" I guess she must have thought she had already looked at all of the books in the book rack and couldn't place that one.
Morgan kept "reminding" us to "read books" beginning a few minutes after she got her this morning and continuing on until it was actually story time and we DID read books.
