Morgan was very happy to hear that it was Emily's birthday today, although she was determined that it was "Daddeos" instead of Emily's at first. After the initial convincing, she wanted to sing "happy birthday" to her over and over. : )
Emily got a book out of the book rack today and Morgan asked me, "Where that one come from?" I guess she must have thought she had already looked at all of the books in the book rack and couldn't place that one.
Morgan kept "reminding" us to "read books" beginning a few minutes after she got her this morning and continuing on until it was actually story time and we DID read books.
We have a limit of two kiddos out doing puzzles at a time to eliminate problems. Today Jadey and Joslyn were out doing puzzles and Emily was not very happy about waiting her turn. She was at the gate kind of moaning and Morgan went over and was doing her best to comfort her. She was trying to hug her, telling her it was "alright", reminding her that it was her "turn next", and then trying to distract her by calling her name to come play with her. Nothing worked and finally Morgan came over to me and said, "Emily not want to be happy!"
