12/30/2010

Morgan ate a bite of her fruit salad and all of her biscuit at breakfast.  At lunch she ate all of her french bread, most of her meatloaf, about half of her kiwi and a bite of cooked carrots.

Morgan was carrying books around the big room a lot.  Cypress kept a good eye on her and, as soon as she put one down on the "other side" of the room, he would go over, pick it up and take it to the book rack.  For a while he was trying to take it from her hand when she was over there to take it to the "right" side, but I think I have finally got him convinced that she is just a baby and it is okay!  : )

Morgan was pretty fussy most of her awake time today.  She even had a hard time going down for her nap, even though she was definitely tired (yawning and scrubbing her eyes and ears).  She only napped for less than an hour (about 45 minutes, I think) this morning.

I tried holding her, thinking that might help her be comforted, but that just made her mad.  She actually had a tantrum a couple times -- throwing herself forward.  It seemed like something was bugging her, but I sure couldn't figure out what it was.  Poor little thing!

12/29/2010

Morgan ate about half of her applesauce and all of her cinnamon toast at breakfast.  At lunch she ate everything -- dried mango bits, squash and her chicken and noodles.

Morgan has two routines that she has been doing over and over lately.  The first is getting one of the wrist sweat bands and bringing it to either Gary or I so we will help her put it on.  She takes it right back off again so we can put it back on for her.  She doesn't want us to get bored or anything!  : )

The other is getting a book and bringing it over to the couch.  She will then point to or pat the couch cushion to let us know that she wants up to look at her book.  Sometimes she stays for a few minutes, other times she is right back down and onto the next thing.  It is really cute!

Morgan was carrying around one of the dress up baseball mitts for a while today.  She then decided to see if it would work for a hat.  She managed to get it on her head -- head in the palm of her glove, but it didn't stay there very long.  She was really strutting around like she was a big shot.

Keenan was pushing one of the little tykes busses around in the back room today.  Morgan watched him for a while, then got down on her hands and knees too with another bus and started imitating him.  It was great!  When he stopped she'd stop, when he went fast, so did she...  : )

Morgan got fussy this morning at about 8:30.  I kept her occupied until breakfast and then she went down for about an hour nap.

12/28/2010

Morgan ate all of her banana and seconds on cheerios at breakfast.  At lunch she ate about half of her steamed cauliflower, all of her tropical fruit and seconds on cheese pizza.

Morgan was very loving today.  She didn't want to hang around and actually cuddle, but she came over to both Gary and I multiple times throughout the morning and gave (and received) short loves.  Some of the times she just lay her head against us, others she wanted up and actually hugged us.  It was very precious.

One of the times she was on Gary's lap, he asked her if she was going to the Lady Griz game today and she answered with a matter-of-fact "Ya!"  She had the same answer when I asked her if she wanted to take a nap after breakfast.  I knew she did by the way she was acting, but I thought it was funny when she answered affirmatively.  She did take about an hour after breakfast nap.  She also had two poopy diapers so far.  The first one was funny because it looked like there were whole beans in it.

I don't know how many times Morgan said, "Hi!" with a big cheesy smile or "Hi Gary!" this morning.  It seemed like it was about every minute or so until breakfast.  I think she was happy to be back.  She also was more than happy to let Connor love on her and initiated it several times herself.
