Morgan ate a bite of her craisins and all of her oatmeal at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her applesauce, about half of her ground beef and a bite of her noodle and pasta dish.
Morgan had a wonderful morning today. She did such a good job of cooperating when we had to redirect her or correct her! We are very proud of her. She spent some time cuddling with Gary today and looking at books with him which they both enjoyed.
She and Joslyn were playing in and around the big block building today. Morgan was also standing on the walls and jumping off (three blocks high). One of the times that she climbed into the building she kind of tipped over and landed on Joslyn's lap. Joslyn immediately started pushing her off saying, "No Morgie! No Morgie!" Morgan was trying to get off as fast as she could. It was really funny.
We went on a 45 minutes buggy ride/walk around the neighborhood today and Morgan loved that. We made a lot of stops to look at flowers, say hi to neighbors, pick up fir cones or little flowers, smell the lilacs, blow the dandelion puff balls, listen to the birds, watch the excavator loading a dump truck by the new apartments... We picked up several treasures for them to hold along the way. Some of the kiddos either threw them away or dropped them on the way home, but Morgan held tightly to everything we collected. : )

Morgan ate all of her blueberry bread pudding and seconds on blueberries at breakfast. At lunch she ate a bite of her kiwi, about half of her green beans and the bun off of her hamburger plus a bite of the meat.
Morgan is doing very well at the table! She sits there without bugging the other kiddos, keeps her food on her plate and usually eats well. That is about as young as we every try transitioning them from a high chair and she is doing great!
Morgan was doing quite a bit of phone play again today. She flips the phone open, puts it up to her ear and says, "Hi there!" almost every time. Morgan was over visiting with me about the legos she was playing with for a while this morning when she notices that Jadey and Everson each had a phone and were laying on the floor "talking" to someone. She dropped the legos, abandoned me, went to the other side, searched until she found herself a phone, went over by them and lay down to imitate what they were doing. It was so cute!
Morgan was in a great mood today and had absolutely no melt-downs. She started to get upset about something twice, but it didn't go anywhere. She listened great, cooperated well and was gentle with her friends.
Joslyn was playing in the block shelf today and stood up before she actually was out of it so she bonked her head. Morgan saw it, laughed then went over and did the exact same thing, laughing as she bonked her own head too. Silly girl! : )
When Morgan brought me duplos today to help her get started with, I started making her some steps. She loved that (chuckled) and raced over to get me more to add to it. When we had a bout 8 steps on it, she then went over and got some people and handed them to me. I totally think she understood that they were steps and wanted people walking up them. I asked her if she wanted me to put the people on the steps and she gave her enthusiastic "Yeah!" and pointed to one of the steps. It was pretty amazing and very cute.

Morgan ate all of her jelly toast and seconds on dried mangoes at breakfast. At lunch she ate a bite of her tropical fruit and all of her sweet potatoes and her beef and bean burrito.
Morgan really likes the books with the musical buttons. She looked at them quite a bit. Most of the time that was great (except when someone else had the book and she wanted it!). : )
I have noticed that with Morgan it seems like she has two modes -- totally and happily cooperative and NOT! For example, often Morgan loves helping us keep the toys in the appropriate areas and will take them to the "other side" even without asking. Or if you ask her, she will enthusiastically say, "Yeah!" and do it energetically and very proudly. Ten minutes later, without her mood changing that we can tell, the came exact thing (even with the same toy) will occur and she will lose it. I just can't figure out what the difference is. It isn't her mood that we can tell. It isn't the specific toy. It isn't how we ask. It can be the same time of day. So interesting... I love studying this type of thing to try to figure it out and find a solution. Do you have a frame of reference for what I am saying? Ever noticed that type of thing?
Mogan has been building with the duplos quite a bit. She usually will bring 4 or 5 over to me to begin something, then will add to it on her own. If she has a hard time getting one to go on after that she will bring it over for help though.
Morgan and Joslyn were holding hands and walking around the big room today and it was SO adorable. Sometimes they would get their hands switched and Morgan would start kind of dragging Joslyn around backwards, so I would step in and help them switch so they were both going the 'right' way. : )

Morgan ate a bite or two of her dried plums and all of her cinnamon roll at breakfast. At lunch she ate seconds on cantaloup and all of her scrambled eggs, waffles and hashbrowns.
This morning Morgan's hair was in her face and I just mentioned that I would have to put a pony in her hair before breakfast. She went racing over to the changing table door where they are stored, then turned around with her pointer finger up on both hands and started saying, "two-two-two" until I asked her, "Do you want two?" "Yeah!" she nodded and answered enthusiastically. : ) It was really cute!
I don't know which Morgan things is greater -- brushing her own teeth or watching Gary floss and brush his. She seems him out there with the floss or toothbrush and both she and Joslyn just make a bee-line there chuckling and grinning like it was the best activity ever! : )
Morgan was very interested int he backpacks and the waist packs today. She kept messing with them until she figured out how to both hook and unhooke a couple of them. That is quite a feat -- one which many of our older kiddos cannot do.
Morgan realized that a couple of the books that are out with this toy exchange have music buttons on them today. She was "reading" them and pushing buttons to make them 'sing' over and over with a big grin on her face.

Morgan ate no mixed fruit and all of her kix cereal at breakfast. At lunch she ate a bite of her bread and all of the ham out of her ham sandsich, all of her broccoli and no mandarin oranges.
Morgan did a great job of listening, coopereating and playing well until 9:45 and then it was like a switch flipped for about an hour. She started having tantrums over just little things (I seriously can't even remember what they were now), so took a break in the crib a couple times. She had a hard time regrouping the seconds time. After that she did much better again. She probably just isn't feeling 100% yet. I know I'm not. (I felt like having a tantrum a couple times too, but refrained!) : )
Morgan was exploring the "new" toys and checking them out. She was playing with the flip phones quite a bit. She kept jabbering into one of them for a while, then handing it to me to "talk" for a while. When I handed it back she would 'talk' some more. It was pretty cute!
Morgan also spent quite a bit of time exploring and playing with the legos. She would bring several to me to "help" her put together. She also brought me over one of the lego men and kept saying "My guy" until I helped her put him on top of what we had built.
