Morgan ate a bite of her blueberries and all of her blue berry bread pudding at breakfast. I really don't understand why they call it bread "pudding". It is nothing like pudding -- more like a breakfast cake or something! : ) At lunch she ate a bite of her kiwi and all of her green beans and her turkey burger on a bun.
Morgan was having so much fun building with the square blocks again today and knocking them over. I helped her start a "house" with them and she stacked more and more on top. What I really get a kick out of is that she won't just plop the block down, but has to must sure it is lined up just so.
Boy, Morgan has had the toothbrushing routine down since the very first stay we gave her the toothbrush. She just sits right where she is supposed to and waits to be given her brush, "brushes" until the timer goes off and then is ready to go play. She loves times, by the way and if you have any routines that she is balking against (getting ready to go somewhere, going to bed...) that might be a good tool to help her have a real concrete signal that it's time.
I think it is so cute how often Morgan either comes over to me or just gets my attention and points to her nose saying either "tish" or "tishy" for "tissue". It is adorable (and super helpful)! She also had pointed to her diaper and told me either "stinky" or "sticky" when she is poopy also, which is awesome!

4/20/2011
Morgan ate all of her dried mango bits and about half of her whole wheat toast with jelly at breakfast. At lunch she ate most of her tropical fruit and all of her sweet potatoes and her beef and bean burrito.
Morgan was so cute this morning. Her hair was in her eyes and she brushed it away with the back of her hand kind of irritatedly then lit up, pointed to her hair and ran over to the changing table where I have the hair stuff. She was asking me to do her hair! I thought that was pretty good! : )
Morgan was determined to take the toy the Emily was playing with today. We first reminded her to "find a different one", pointing to another of the same exact toy Emily had. That wasn't good enough. We then moved her away from Emily and she raced right back over and tried to grab it again. This time when we moved her away she just screamed at us, so we moved her to the box, where she continued to be angry for several minutes. After that she listened much better and found toys that no one was playing with.
When baby Peyton came today, Morgan came over to her waving. She then squatted down right beside her and told her "Hi!" It was really cute!
Morgan loves stacking things. Today I showed her how to stack the cube shaped blocks (probably about 2.5" square). They aren't real easy to stack because they topple so easily, but she is amazingly determined with them and got up to 9 stacked before they would fall over. She was also stacking the rain sticks, which are even harder to balance! She is amazing with these skills!

Morgan ate more of her cinnamon roll and a bite of her dried plums at breakfast. At lunch she ate hardly anything -- a few bites of her waffle, about half of her scrambled eggs and no hashbrowns or cantaloupe that I saw.
I made each of the bigger kiddos a "motorcycle" with the big interlocking blocks. As soon as someone abandoned one of their motorcycles, Morgan was instantly there and climbing on it. It is amazing how much she learned from watching the other kiddos. She started making the motorcycle sounds and doing what she had seen them do. She actually ended up playing on hers longer than anyone else did. : )
Morgan and Joslyn were each holding onto a corner of the same blanket today and having a friendly tug-of-war. They were both laughing and having fun with it and when he wasn't fun anymore, Morgan let go and found a different one that no one else was playing with. Hurray! :)
Morgan was being a dust buster today. She was scour the place to any tiny piece of string or fuzzy or anything and bringing them to me. Part of the time it was so little I could see it (or she had dropped it on the way over to me, not sure which!)

Morgan ate a bite of her mixed fruit and all of her kix cereal at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her steamed broccoli and her ham sandwich and a bite of her mandarin oranges.
Morgan really didn't act like she felt very good today. She was quite fussy off and on, had a cough and green runny nose and wanted to cuddle way more than usual. I took her temperature and it was only 99.4 at its highest, so I didn't call, but she was pretty miserable. It seemed to me like it was more than just teething, but... Maybe she has what mom had last week. ?? I don't know.
Morgan did enjoy exploring the "new" toy exchange stuff in between being miserable. She really liked taking apart the Velcro fruits and vegetables and putting them back together. It might not be the same kinds of fruits or vegetables that she was trying to put together either.
Morgan also played with the various shaker toys that are out right now. We have the little shaker eggs, the clear rain sticks, and some rings with big beads enclosed in them. She was trying them all out and ended up spending more time playing with the rainsticks. She really seemed to like watching all the tiny little beads fall inside of it.
Morgan as added the toothbrushing to her after breakfast routine very smoothly. We haven't had to remind her once yet. She just goes right over and sits on the step waiting for us to get and give her the toothbrush. It is really cute and she loves it!
Morgan was trying to follow the big kiddos example again today and walk on the huge interlocking blocks. These ones have huge lego type bumps on the top and it makes it quite challenging. Bode and Everson were having a hard time doing it also, so I just told all of the kiddos that they could sit on them or lay on them, but were weren't going to stand them. She didn't like that much at first, but she listened pretty good without a melt down.
