Morgan ate all of her oatmeal and craisins at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her applesauce, all of the noodles out of her pea pasta side dish and about half of her ground beef. She may have accidentally gotten a couple peas in her mouth, but I'm not sure.
We have decide to call this latest virus that had attacked this week the "runny nose equals short fuse" virus. Morgan, Kenzie and Emily all have it and it has made all three of them easily upset and not easily comforted. She has a couple meltdowns over minor things today, but i am sure it is because she just isn't feeling well and doesn't understand why.
It cracks me up when every time I change one of my kiddos, Morgan comes running over at a hight rate of speed, chanting "Tinky-tinky-tinky". When she isn't stinky or even wet so I won't change her it just makes her furious. That was the trigger of a couple melt-downs today.
The grass was still pretty wet this morning, so we stayed in and jumped on the mattess. Morgan loved that and she really jumps, both onto the mattress from the steps and balance beam and also on the actual mattress. She gets up pretty high.

9/15/11
Morgan ate a bite of her blueberries and most of her blueberry bread pudding at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her kiwi, most of her turkey burger and a couple bites of green beans.
Morgan let me french braid her hair this morning when we were fixing it. She sat so nice and still. I just love doing stuff with her hair, because she likes it and because she has such nice hair with that awesome curl in the bottom.
Morgan engages with all of the toys so well. She will start playing with something and stick with it for a substantial amount of time so often. Today she was looking at books for about 20 minutes. For about 10 minutes of that, everyone else was being rowdy with the blocks on the otherside of the room. She still stayed focused and on task. That is such a great characteristic to have. I think she "read" every book in the rack. : )
Morgan was playing with the big interlocking blocks again today (of course). They were standing on them and jumping off and having a blast, as well as building with them. One of the times she went to jump off she kind of slipped and fell into the couch. Normally that would be fine, but she hit the hard wooden (and mostly unpadded) part and it hurt her nose pretty good. If she ends up with a black eye or sore nose, that will be why.
Jadey crawled up on the lego table, which they all know is off limits. Morgan spotted it before I did and raced over saying "Off-Off-Off" loudly as she ran over to take care of it. That just cracked me up. : )

Morgan ate all of her whole wheat toast with jelly and seconds on dried mangoes at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her beef and bean burrito and her sweet potatoes and most of her tripical fruit.
Morgan was having such a great time with the toasters today. She was using the scrambled eggs piece rather than the toast in it (probably because she realized that it popped higher that the toast. Everytime she would put it in and pause for a moment after pushing the button down to make it pop, saying with great anticipation, "Ready?!" Then push the other button to make it pop up. She loved it when it popped high enough that it either landed on her head or went over it. One time it actually landed on it and stayed there. She really laughed at that!
Morgan enjoyed the dress-up stuff again today. She was putting on slippers, and robes and asking me to help her put on one of the pj sleepers and curlers in her hair. It is so cute. Then she was walking around singing "Kwinkle, kwinkle little star".
Morgan's social skills were shining through today. At breakfast, she was waving at Thomas in his high chair and was thrilled when he waved back. Later Joslyn was laying on the floor fussing (because something wasn't quite going her way). Morgan went over to her, squatted down, patted her and asked, "You OK?" It was adorable!
Today we were looking at some of the pictures still on the camera and I found this one that I told grammy and grampy I would post and then forgot. I think it turned out so well. Morgan also enjoyed looking at it! : )

9/13/11
Morgan ate most of her prunes and al of her cinnamon roll at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her scrambled eggs, most of her waffles, about half of her hashbrowns and a couple bites of cantaloupe.
As soon as Morgan was done playing with the toasters this morning (about 5 minutes) she went over to the box, where the kiddos had tossed all of the big blocks at clean-up time yesterday and started unloading it at an intense and high rate of speed. We slowed her down a little by reminding her to be careful of the babies and put them down gentle. She did a great job of listening.
I put two ponies in Morgan's hair at about 8:30 and she looked in the mirror and said pretty. She then went over to the toy shelves and got one of the combs and went over and started combing the front messing it up pretty good. She looked in the mirror again and proudly announced, "I did it!" : ) That just cracked me up!
Morgan was sitting on the little yellow bench by Emily today and looking at books. Part of the time it looked like she was actually reading to Emily, because she would pause just like I do and show her something in the picture. It was adorable.
Morgan is both tough and tenacious! Today she decided she wanted to pull Emily and Kenzie around in one of the wagons together. Well, that worked fine when it was on the sidewalk, but when she got off or to the gate it was hard work to get back on. She didn't want help. She just worked and worked until she got them turned around and back onto the sidewalk where she could pull it again. She has great stick-to-itiveness!

Morgan ate all of her Kix cereal and mised fruit at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her ham sandwich, a couple bites of mandarin oranges and about half of her broccoli.
Morgan was very excited about the tou exchange and all of the "new" stuff. She examined everything before sitting down to really play with anything. She did the pop-up toasters a couple times right at the beginning of the day, but really didn't play much with them the rest of the time.
She was very interested in looking at each of the books that are out with this exchange and found a couple that she really likes.
She also was excited when she saw the different slippers that are out and had to try one several pairs. She is very tenacious and worked at them until she got them on (except one that she asked me for help with).
Jadey was "feeding" everyone with one of the forks today. She was walking around the room getting everyone and Morgan was right behind her saying, "I have some. I have some." I am not sure if Jadey was actually ignoring her or just so focused on getting to whoever she was after next that she didn't hear her, but I made sure that Morgan "had some". : )
Morgan loves covering the other kiddos with the blankets and singing our "Good-night" song to them as they pretend to go to bed. She was doing it again today. She and Joslyn play the game more than the others, but if anyone asks or even just lays down with a blanket close to them, Morgan is right there to tuck them in also. : )
