Morgan ate all of her blueberry muffin and pears at breakfast today. At lunch she ate thirds on sweet potatoes, seconds on crackers and all of her orange slices and her tuna on crackers.
Morgan must have brought me the doll for me to help her wrap at least 10 times today. I really want to say about 20, but that might be a little exaggerated. : ) She is really starting to say "help me" without prompting more (although it really sounds more like "up me"). : )
Morgan struggled more with being aggressive (mostly trying to take toys and then hitting at or otherwise attacking if they won't give the toy up) today. It was with Joslyn most of the time (5-6) but also Bode, Everson and Cypress at least once a piece. We had to intervene (Help) every time because she would listen at the Tell or Show stage. She got upset at that every time, but it never did last more than a minute or two. Not getting your way is so rough! : )
Morgan went over to the book rack and started just taking them all out without looking at them. I reminded her to take out only the one she wanted to look at and she immediately stopped unloading it, picked up one of the books from the floor and sat down and started to look at it. She is a smart little whooper and really understands language well.
Gary was playing with her with one of the stethoscopes today. He helped her put the ends in her ear then was talking into the other end so she could listen to it. Her face had such a sweet and curious look on it and she wanted to do it more and more. It was fun to observe.

Morgan ate a bite of her fruit salad and all of her chex cereal at breakfast. At lunch she ate (drank) all of her tomato soup and her roast beef sandwich and most of her apple slices (cut in pieces).
Morgan was really into two of the action songs we were singing today. The first was "If you're happy and you know it" (of course) and the second was the "Ya all fall down". They stomp, spin, and fall down in it and she loves it!
Jadey got upset over something and was sitting on the floor and crying. Morgan stopped what she was doing, went over to her and gave her a hug. Often Jadey doesn't respond well when someone tries to hug her when she is upset, but she really responded to Morgan and even stopped crying. Morgan looked so proud of herself. : ) I love it when they do something sweet like that and get those natural and internal rewards.
Morgan had a couple times when she began to have a tantrum, but one never got away from her. She wiped it up before it got started every time.
Morgan was walking around today talking into the end of the stethoscope that you usually have on the patient's heart like it was a telephone. : )

Morgan ate all of her oatmeal and seconds on plums at breakfast. At lunch she ate no kiwi, bites of biscuit and all of her hashbrown and burger casserole.
Morgan was determined to get Jadey's book today. Jadey kept moving away from her and Morgan kept following her with her arms out in front of her -- it reminded me of a little zombie or something. I intervened several times and she started to tantrum, but turned it off quickly, which was awesome!
Morgan was really clapping and dancing to the CD we had on today. She is so cute when she does it because her whole face lights up. When she saw me watching her she got kind of shy and tucked her little head into her shoulder.
Morgan brought me a dress up vest and fire fighter hat today to help her put on. She strutted around with it on for quite a while. What was really cute was that she kept making trips over to the mirror to see how cute she was. : )
Morgan went outside with the big kiddos today and LOVED it. Gary said she actually did really well, even on the ice (which is about half of the yard). I know she was exhausted when she came back in, which is probably part of why she didn't eat the rest of her biscuit at lunch.

Morgan ate all of her french toast and cantaloup at breakfast. At lunch she ate a bite of her dried mangoes and all of her squash, roll and turkey.
Morgan is very friendly, even with those of up she sees all the time. Every time she is away from the whole group for even a little while, then rejoins them, she always greets everyone with a very energetic, "Hi!" and grin. This includes things like coming back into the big room after finishing eating, seeing everyone after nap, getting down off the changing table after diapering... It is really cute!
Morgan was following Jadey, Conner and sometimes Joslyn around and fussing, wanting whatever toy they had today. We had to remind her to find toys on the floor or shelf many times and even had to "help" her a couple times. Even then she didn't have any tantrums about it or anything else this morning! Hurray! : )
It cracks me up how many times Morgan is hanging out with the big kiddos rather than the ones her age and size. Especially when the four big boys are racing around on the mattress side of the room and just being crazy-rowdy, she wants to be right in the middle of it. What a kiddo! : )

Morgan ate a couple of the blueberries out of her mixed berries and seconds on toast at breakfast. At lunch she ate a bite of ham and of mandarin oranges and all of her saltines and her bean soup.
Morgan went over to the dress up clothes deal and wanted the hats from the top down first thing. She said, "Help me!" pretty plainly, which was awesome. As soon as I got them down for her, she put one of the engineer hats right on. She continued to put one or another hat on at various times throughout the day.
Morgan loved it when Bode came in and immediately went over to her and have her a love and kissed the top of her head. He really likes Morgan! Bode's brother, Tate, also like Morgan and always tried to get her to come over to the gate and give him a hug when he is here! : )
Morgan has been doing quite a bit of pretending to eat. She will get a plate and a spoon and act like she is eating. She also likes to bring them over to me so I will 'feed' her and eat some bites myself. We were obviously making it look way to fun because pretty soon three other kiddos were by us wanting bites too. Since it was Morgan's play I asked her every time before I 'fed' another kiddo -- "Morgie, can I give Bode a bite?" and every time she would say "Yeah!" It was really cute!
Bode was on the couch today looking at a book. Morgan noticed, went over, crawled up onto the couch and sat right down close to him to listen to him read. When Bode saw it, it immediately started to "read" out loud, which was what she was wanting. It is so sweet!

Morgan ate all of her whole wheat bagel and her dried apricots at breakfast. At lunch she ate seconds on the pasta out of the pea and pasta salad, and all of her baked tilapia, applesauce and first serving of pea pasta salad.
Morgan was playing with the cash register when Cypress came. He came over and sat by her and was pushing buttons with her on the machine. I think he was as surprised as any of us when he announced, "Hey, we playing together!" Sure enough they were and there was no conflict!
Much of the rest of the morning Morgan's frustration level was high and her tolerance level low. She became angry when she couldn't get into the box easy enough, when a book would cooperate with her trying to bend it backward, when Joslyn would give up the toy she was playing with, when I would let her up on my lap when I was feeding Kenzie her bottle... For about 30 minutes it was one tantrum after another. I have noticed that her nose is runny more again and she sounds kind of hoarse so she must have gotten another cold on the tail end of the last one and probably is feeling miserable.
I finally put her in her crib for a while (about 10 minutes) while I was helping some of the other kiddos because it was starting to frustrate the other kiddos too. After that I took about 10 minutes and just held, visited and filled her little love tank. She really liked that and did better for a while until she started getting hungry and tired before lunch. At the end of out cuddle time Kenzie came over to us also with her hands up. Morgan bent down like she was trying to help her up so I asked Morgan if she wanted to hold Kenzie. Her face lit up and she reached for her again. I helped them get situated and Kenzie actually ended up sitting there for at least three minutes! Morgan LOVED it! : )
During the intensest part of the day, she and Jadey were playing alongside each other in too close of a space (obviously). I am not sure exactly what happened but Morgan was trying to take Jadey's toy and Morgan ended up with a bite mark on her hand so obviously Jadey bit her. She wasn't the only victim today either -- it was a very testy day for several of the kiddos, including Jadey! Ugh!!!

As I said, several of the kiddos were a bit testy today so I took my kiddos back to the back room to play early. All of my 'big' boys (Cypress, Keenan and Bode) were excited to make trains with the mega train blocks. Morgan had to join in and found an engine also, but wasn't quite sure how to hook anything else on to it. I tried to show her, but she would have none of that, so I backed off and she just played with the engine.

Morgan ate all of her craisins and seconds on cereal at breakfast. At lunch she ate most of her cheese pizza and all of her cauliflower and tropical fruit.
Morgan had a blast exploring the "new" toys today. She had to try out about everything -- echo phones, jingle toys, food stuff, fire fighter hat, doctor accessories... She brought me the doctor vest to help her put it on several times. A couple more times she brought it along with a dolly so I would her put it on her. : )
She has been getting both in and out of the "box" regularly with a fair amount of ease. She is also getting on and off of the couch at will too. One day last week when she was wearing a pair of jeans, she was really struggling to do it and I finally realized they aren't as stretchy so she didn't have the mobility to be able to do it as easily. She was persistent though, and still managed to make it! : )
Morgan had not melt downs this morning! Hurray! She did try to take toys from other kiddos a few times, but she listened when I told her to "let go and find a different one" and then went to help her do it. They were only brief conflicts. We are also teaching the other kiddos to hold on to what she is trying to take and tell her to let go then call us for help if she doesn't listen. I think it will help if she NEVER gets what she is trying to take from the others. We just have to watch more closely with the babies, because they don't understand not letting it go. : )
