Morgan ate a bite of her banana and all of her cheerios at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her tomato soup, grilled cheese and apple slices.
Morgan really likes the "BIG spider" that Gary hung outside the big window this morning. She would stop what she was doing and look out and say "BIG spider" multiple times today. She kind of growls the word "big".
Morgan was standing on the picnic table bench (also known and the toddler stage) : ) and singing "Do-Dah-Day!" over and over loudly this morning. We hadn't been singing it, so it came from within herself.
I was playing puppets with a couple of the kiddos today and Morgan was super interested. I, first of all, "was" a little girl who had gotten hit by another child and I didn't like it. I expressed what had happened and that it hurt! Morgan immediately came up to the puppet and gave it a hug and asked, "You ok?" It was so sweet! A little later she had a puppet on her hand (with my assistance) and was having the puppet "cry". She then held it up to her shoulder and patted it on the back and said, "Don't cry!"
I have been getting such a kick out of watching the kiddos explore the "new" toys today. One of the things that are are are cameras. Even though we have a digital camera, it still looks so funny to see the kiddos holding the cameras out in front of them rather than up to their eyes. They were all doing it and saying "cheese" this morning. It is really cute!

10/12/11
Morgan ate all of her whole wheat toast with jelly and her dried mangoes at breakfast. At lunch she ate most of her tropical fruit and about half of her potatoes and burrito.
Morgan was holding one of the play chicken legs and calling it a "popseecle" (popcicle). She was pretending to eat it and lick it and carrying it around with her. She was even pretending to feed it to her dolly. After a while she finally put it down. Kenzie came over and picked it up and Morgan immediately wanted her "popseecle" back. : )
Morgan came over to greet baby Riley this morning when she came, but really didn't play much attention to her after that.
Morgan was driving (scooting) around on her big block "Motorcycle" today. It was pretty cute because Kenzie was pushing it from the back and trying to help Morgan "Go!" Morgan was cheering her one, but the only way that it worked was with Morgan helping her.

Morgan ate all of her cinnamon roll and about half of her prunes at breakfast. At lunch she ate most of her scrambled eggs and cantaloupe and all of her hashbrowns and waffles.
Thomas as started walking quite a bit this week. Morgan gets very excited when she sees him doing it and cheers for him and praises him. It is really cute! Thomas loves all of the attention and encouragement.
Morgan got a tiny owie (no mark, just bumped it a little) and needed a "cold cwoff" again today. She held it there for about 5 minutes (with all of the other kiddos having pretend "cold cwoffs" too). After the five minutes she looked up at me, handed me the cloth tentatively and asked, "all better?" That cracked me up.
Morgan hooked a bunch of the legos (little square ones and later the fence pieces) together and called it her "Walking stick like grammy's". It was cute because Gary asked her if Grampy had one (no), Mommy had one, (no) and Daddy had one (no). Only Grammy and now Morgan.

Morgan ate most of her mixed fruit and about half of her Kix cereal at breakfast. At lunch she ate about half of her mandarin oranges and all of her ham sandwich and steamed broccoli.
Morgan found the big lego house piece and the window and door that go along with it today. She brought them over to me and asked "Help please" very nicely.
Gary was harrassing her -- pretending to "get" her and then tickling here. She loved it and was laughing and wanting him to do it more. When he finally quit she gave a big sigh and said, "Oh, Gary!" It was really funny!
Morgan was singing "Baby beluga" over and over today, both with and without looking at the board book. When she was doing while looking at the book, she would examine each picture, sometimes pointing or laughing at something in the picture, the turn it so the other kiddos could see and say, "See guys!" it was great!
Morgan brought me one of the cowgirl bandanas today and asked, "Cold cwoff (cloth)" wanting me to fold it up for her to pretend with. I did and she headed right over to sit on the couch and hold the cold cloth on her pretend owie. Of course several of the other kiddos wanted to do the same thing then. It is so funny! Morgan ate about half of her brown rice and raisins at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her dried apricots and meatloaf, most of her french bread and a couple bites of cooked carrots.
Morgan told me she was "tinky" not long after she got here this morning. Well, she hadn't pooped yet, so I asked her if she wanted to go poopy on the potty and she gave me an enthusiastic "Yeah!" I took her in and she sat there for a couple minutes with a big grin on her face. Every once in a while she would say, "It comin'" and strain a little. Ultimately no success and she was poopy within 20 minutes. But, that is a positive move, so we'll keep our eyes and ears open.
Later on Morgan cracked me up when she decided that someone was poopy and she went around to all of the kiddos asking, "Tinky?" and trying to peek down the back of their diaper. What a kiddo!
Morgan was playing at one of the little sinks today and Thomas made his way over to try to stand before her. She did a great job of using her words when he kind of pushed up against her. She said, "My turn... My turn..." until I could get over to help her out by moving him and distracting him with something else. That was pretty good!

Morgan ate all of her cinnamon toast and grapes at breakfast. At lunch she ate everything also. She was going to leave her cherries and I encouraged her to have her "big girl tasting bite", which she did willingly then ate them all up. We also had chicken strips, mashed potatoes and dinner roll.
Our daughter from Louisiana flew in on Tuesday evening and will be here until Saturday about noon. This morning she spent some time just hanging out in the big room with the kiddos. They all had to make sure to get some of her attention. All of the mobile kiddos were showing off today for her. They were spinning around in circles, falling down and just acting crazy in general.
Morgan had put together several of the smaller duplo pieces into a line that was about 4-5 inches long and was pretending it was her phone. She was talking into it and said, "Hi Grammy!" then jabbered some more about eating and "visit" and more that I couldn't understand. It was really cute.

Morgan ate about half of her whole wheat bagel and all of her peaches at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her macaroni and cheese, lettuce and tomato salad and corn (not on the cob).
Morgan has been wearing the little dress-up jean skirt around her neck like a necklace the last couple days. It is really funny. Today I asked her if it was her necklace and she answered "Yeah!" enthusiastically. It was great!
She found a couple of the lego chairs today and was sitting the little lego people in it and calling it "High Chair." At least this one is a chair rather than a mini pen.
It has been cracking me up how Morgan immediately asks for a "cole kwoff" (cold cloth) every time she gets any type of little tiny owie! It also is amazing how quickly she is okay as soon as she has her cold cloth.
Emily makes this little dolphin "heh-heh-heh-heh" sound and today she got 4 of the other kiddos, including Morgan doing it. It was really cute! Emily loved it that they were imitating her.
I was getting Joslyn's attention to come over so I could "test" something for her developmental checklist today, but Joslyn wasn't listening. Morgan stood in front of me, patted her leg, bent over slightly then called out, "Jozzy, come here!" several times like she was calling a misbehaving puppy or kitty. It just cracked me up.
