Morgan ate all of her raisins and malt-o-meal at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her salad with ranch, spaghetti with macaroni noodles and most of her mixed fruit.
Morgan and Kenzie wanted to "watch" while I fixed breakfast this morning. It was malt-o-meal. I had them watching the pan for when it started steaming, push the buttons on the timer to set it and stop it, and taste the brown sugar to make sure it was "okay" to add to the malt-o-meal. That is their favorite part! : )
Morgan and Kenzie played with their "babies" and were pretending that the box was the kiddos' bedrooms. They spent about 15 minutes or more dressing and undressing.the dolls, cover and uncovering and feeding or putting them to sleep.
Morgan, Kenzie and Joslyn all sat on the big yellow chair and looked at books. They talked about the first book together then they kind of naturally just decided to read independently which ever book they wanted.
After that they all went over to jump on the mattress. Joslyn started singing the "Monkeys Jumping On The Bed" song and soon every mobile kiddos was over there jumping and singing (or trying to sing) the song. Joslyn was very proud of herself. Morgan was cracking up when one of the kiddos "fell of the bed".

Morgan ate all of her a blueberries and cinnamon raisin muffins. At lunch she ate seconds on plain crackers and all of her potato salad, canned chicken on the saltines, and cherries.

The above was the "drifting off" sentence we talked about yesterday. Morgan What it was really supposed to say was that Morgan told me, "I need to be alone" to everyone that came close. It is so awesome when she uses her words rather than striking out or yelling at the kiddos. Directly after that she invited Emily to go to the back room with her. She obviously knows that she usually can go back. : ) That cracked me up because "alone" to her must mean "with Emily" also. : )
Morgan had a minor melt down over something, but it never got to the full blown stage. In just a couple minutes she was calm and wanting to cuddle, which I did for about 10 minutes until she decided she was done and ready to play again.
Morgan was playing with one of the dolls and told me "She's hungry". She fed the baby, burped it and then cuddled with it. It was great!
Morgan and Kenzie were making a "huge pile" with pretend pumpkins right beside me. I played along with it and commented that the pile had tipped over and now there were pumpkins everywhere. They dutifully "cleaned them all up" and move the pile where I "Couldn't tip it over so easily now." : )

Morgan ate all of her biscuit and peaches at breakfast. At lunch she ate thirds on baked beans and all of her dinner roll, steamed broccoli and pineapple.
Morgan immediately was bothered by the younger kiddos today (smaller than Emily). She wanted Emily to go to the back room with her to play with her within the first half hour. I am struggling with letting her do it so much, but I also realize that she is starting to be frustrated with the younger ones and don't want that either since she is here for a while longer. Feel free to give me feedback about how you feel about it... She really enjoys having the independence of playing back there (and choosing to invite a friend) and we monitor them with the cameral system on my iPad now, wich makes it very portable.
In the back block room she and Emily were climbing on the big blocks (and stumbling off of them laughingly). They were also very engaged in playing with the farm legos and having the animals talk to each other.
Kenzie was looking at a story in a chair in the back room and kept asking "what are they doing?" Morgan finally went over to her and said, "Can you scoot over and I will tell you!" That just cracked me up. Kenzie did and they looked at stories together (with Morgan explaining what everyone was "doing"). They also were singing the songs from the books that are songs we sing. Mia was driving them crazy because she wouldn't leave them alone while reading so I had to guard them from her and use all my skills to try to keep her away and distracted.

Morgan wanted to be or play alone a lot. She spent the majority of her time before breakfast cuddling with, in and under the huge bear. She didn't want anyone close to her, but at least she did a great job of using her words to tell them, rather then screaming or being aggressive. She told four different kiddos, "Leave me alone. I want to be alone!"
After she was done snugging alone with the bear, she then asked if she could go to the back room to play. When I told her she could, she invited Emily to join her! : ) They played so nicely together back there until breakfast.
After breakfast, she played briefly out in the big room, but the littler kiddos (primarily Thomas, Peyton and Riley) kept bugging her. Again, she asked if she could go to the back room. This time she invited Kenzie when I said it was okay. They played alone together (through camera supervision) for a few minutes, then my kiddos went back to join them. She and Kenzie had a blast trying to get themselves "buried" under the big blocks like they do with the bears in the big room. It was pretty funny.

Morgan ate all of her cheerios and probably about half of her banana at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her grilled sandwich and grapes and seconds on her tomato soup.
Morgan sat and studied the new books for about 15 or more minutes this morning. She also really enjoyed doing the "new" puzzles with Emily... She explored most of everything else also, and did a little cooking, put on one of the dress-up jackets and just spent time checking things out.
Morgan pointed to her knee after she had jumped funny off of the climber onto the mattress and said, "I twisted my ankle". It didn't look like she had done anything different than the other 100+ jumps she has done it before, but obviously something hurt.
Morgan was sitting on the couch behind me while I was on the floor in front of it. She very quietly started massaging my shoulders. She is really tough and she loved it when I made ooing and ahing sounds.
Morgan really wasn't even much interested in the Roto-Rooter guy coming and snaking out the drain line. She said "hi" to him when he came at the end of breakfast, and that was it for her.

Morgan ate all of her craisins and oatmeal at breakfast. At lunch she ate seconds on noodles and peas with cheese, and all of her ground beef and her applesauce.
Morgan and Emily asked to play in the back room with the Duplos. They stayed there for about 20 minutes and it was fun to watch and listen to them interact on the computer camera. They actually get along really well. I think it helps because Emily is very mellow and either goes along with Morgan wants to do or just moves away from her. She doesn't usually fight with her or instigate things herself. : )
The three biggest kiddos were pretending to "puke on our bear" again and this time they were all takinig turns puking and "cleaning it up". They are so funny.
We were using the bears to sing with this morning and they all loved it. We first sang a couple actual bear songs (The bear went over the mountain and Teddy bear turn around), then I started just putting bear words to other songs. For example, How much is that bear in the window?, Where has my little bear gone, and the one they liked best -- One little, two little ....Bears. I had them stack their bears on top of mine as we sang the numbers and then when I did it backwards, I gently tossed them each a bear from the pile. The LOVED it. They wanted it over and over. I think we ended up doing it at LEAST 12 times both counting up and back down again.

When I was fixing Morgan's hair this morning she had asked me to braid her pony tail. I told her I would and started out the process. Joslyn was really watching what I was doing and finally asked, "Why are you twist her hair?" That's a great description!
Morgan did a very high jump of the climber and onto the mattress, but when she landed she bottomed out and hurt her knee. It obviously hurt pretty bad because she wanted cuddled and to not walk on it until breakfast.
Morgan was on the verge of not listening about being gentle and nice to her friends several times, but remembered that she needed to "make a good choice" before it got to melt-down stage. Hurray! : )
