Morgan ate all of her Kix cereal and mixed fruit at breakfast. At lunch she ate seconds on grilled cheese sandwich and all of her tomato soup (out of an open cup, with help) and sweet potatoes.
She was quite fussy first thing this morning so I put her down for a nap a little before 8:00. She slept until 9:10 then had breakfast a little late. She was in a much better mood after that and did fine until after lunch.
Connor really likes all of the babies and tries to love on one or the other of them often throughout the day. Morgan doesn't mind it when she is sitting down. He usually comes over and lays his head in here lap. She usually will look down at him, pat him or grab his hair then look around and grin. He loves it when she lets him lay there for a little. When she gets tired of it, she usually doesn't fuss or anything, just gets up and crawls away. If she happens to be standing up holding on to something when he comes over to love on her, that is different. She doesn't like that at ALL. I'm sure it makes her feel like she is losing her balance and kind of scares her. We move him away quickly when we see that situation in the works. : )
Morgan sat on the sit-&-spin for several minutes today, gently moving it back and forth about 2-3 inches. Even after she got off of it, she sat beside it and moved the base around without her on it. I love how she is experimenting with movement of all kind. She is also making a lot more dancing motions when the kiddos are dancing, singing or the CD is on.
Morgan seems to be crawling less and moving around holding onto the furniture more today. She was also standing independently and clapping or jigging several times. She is getting to be such a big shot! : )

Morgan ate all of her mandarin oranges and about half of her oatmeal at breakfast today. At lunch she ate seconds on french bread, a couple bites of her kiwi and all of her cooked carrots and meat loaf.
Morgan was quite fussy this morning and scrubbing on her ears so I assumed it was because she was too tired to be up. I put her to bed right after breakfast and she went right to sleep and slept for about an hour-and-a-half. She was in a much better mood after that! : ) It is amazing what sleep can do for a person!
Before breakfast, when she was getting fussy, I started singing and she stopped and looked at me, listening for about a minute. Then she let out a howl like someone had hurt her -- not sure if she didn't like my singing after all, or if she just decided she didn't want comforted and knew that was what I was trying to do. : )
Cypress was playing so nicely with Morgan in the back room today. He usually gets very frustrated when the mobile babies "get" his toys. Today he had hooked all of the train pieces together and didn't even growl at Morgan when she ripped it in half -- in fact, he told her she could have that part. She is pretty special, believe me to get that kind of a response.

Morgan ate a taste of the mixed berries (blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries) but was not impressed. She did eat seconds on pancakes at breakfast though. At lunch she ate all of her dinner roll and squash, about half of her dried mango bits and bites of her chicken breast.
Morgan stayed up this morning and was very busy and contented almost all of it. She started getting a little fussy before breakfast and again before lunch, but she is really doing very well. She didn't even fuss to be put to bed when I changed either one of her poopy diapers this morning so I think she is beginning to replace the old routine for the new. : )
Keenan really likes both Morgan and Jadey. Several times a day he will sit down close to them, pat his lap and say, "I hold her!" call to them to try to get them come over and sit on his lap. Jadey will often do it for a couple minutes, but Morgan has only cooperated one time for a few seconds. Today, she let him "hold" her for a minute or so and he was thrilled!
Morgan has been determined to get the note pad that I take my notes to use for journalling today. No matter if they were in my hand, on the floor, the couch or in my apron pocket, she was right there trying to sneak them away. : )
The first time I changed her diaper today, I put her dress up over her face and said, "Where's Morgan?" She loved it and kept pulling it back up over and over the rest of that changing, then did it again the next time I changed her too (without me doing anything). :) She is so cute!

Morgan ate most of her applesauce and had seconds on cinnamon toast at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her macaroni and cheese and several bites of orange bits and corn and peas.
Morgan was playing with the spoons and plates quite a bit today. Part of the time it looked like she was scraping up bites and others more like stirring something on the plate.
She frequently crawls over to the book area and hang out there for several minutes. Often she is actually looking at a book or two. Other times she is looking at another kiddos look at the books or just pulling books out and putting them on the floor. We are basically pretty lenient with everything but bending them or chewing on them, neither of which she really does unless she bends one on accident.
Morgan did get pretty inconsolable after breakfast, so I put her to bed. She only slept about and hour (or a little less), but was in a much better mood after that.
She is so busy, moving, pulling herself up, standing, checking out toy after toy, trying to see what the bigger kiddos are doing... Their new mantra is "Morgan's coming! Hurry move away from her!" when they have a train all hooked together, a tower they don't want knocked over... : )
Morgan is really enjoying both reading (today is was just me reading to her, since she slept through group story time) and singing. We have these echo phones (shaped like microphones, but with an echo) and I was singing into it with it up to her ear today. She just sat there enthralled, listening and grinning from ear to ear. It was really cute!

Morgan ate all of her fruit salad and seconds on biscuit at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her green beans, most of her french fries and about half of her hamburger. She also drank almost all of her milk from her cup at lunch, which was a first.
Morgan was really gnawing on the play cauliflower this morning. I am not sure if she thought it was real and was trying to get a bite off of it, it felt good on her teeth or was doing it for some other reason. : ) It looked pretty funny though.
Morgan has really started enjoying playing on the mattress. She rolls and flops on it and had started doing sitting bounces. She can actually get herself bouncing pretty good. She was chuckling as she was doing it today. Cypress was on it with her and was encouraging her on -- "Good Job Morgie!" She was also making the upside down A-frame and Cypress thought that was funny and kept peeking under her legs at her upside down face. : )
She had been doing more and more one/two steps from things to me or thing to thing. She also has been getting up to standing in the middle of the floor without holding on to anything frequently. She will just take of and be strolling around before long!
Morgan seemed to really enjoy group story time today. She usually is sleeping for it. While I was reading, I had her sit on my lap and she sat very quietly and looked at the books while listening for almost the whole thing.
Morgan stayed up again this morning with only a couple fussy times, then only napped for a little less than an hour at actual nap time. Not sure what was up with that.

Morgan ate all of her malt-o-meal and raisins at breakfast. I decided to go ahead and give raisins to here since they are just dried grapes and she has had them. At lunch she ate all of her taco bake (mainly hamburger, tortilla, shredded cheese, tomato sauce and mild salsa) and most of her peaches.
Morgan had a great morning today with no nap (shots and all). She spend some time looking at the books and she treats them amazingly well so far, for being so young.
Morgan spent time interacting with both Keenan and Bode. With Keenan she was playing on the mattress. He was like of playing and mauling her a little but she was loving it. I watched closely and as soon as she wasn't having fun with it, I redirected him to something else! Morgan was crawling around after Bode everywhere he went for a while and kept saying, "hi!" to him. He thought it was funny and would stop and talk to her once in a while and look back to make sure she was still following. : ) It was pretty cute!
She has been doing LOTS of standing independently today and also doing some lunging (not steps) between things. It especially seems to be between something and me. She probably expects me to do my part and catch her if she doesn't quite make it, whereas she isn't so sure about the book rack or the toy shelf catching her. : )

Morgan got a little fussy before breakfast, but not too bad. She ate all of her cheerios and seconds on banana at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her tropical fruit (mostly pineapple), most of her steamed cauliflower and seconds on cheese pizza bits.
There were about three short stretches where Morgan got a little fussy this morning (one before breakfast, one before lunch and one after I changed her diaper but didn't put her to bed). The diapering one was kind of funny because that is her usual routine in the morning before breakfast (diapering then bed), so I think she assumed that is where she was going and was furious for a few minutes. I really think she will do fine after she gets used to the new routine. : ) Overall, she did great, played hard and was happy, except for those brief times.
Morgan kept crawling over to the sit-and-spins then pulling herself up to its handle. I think she was a little confused and concerned when she would step onto the spinning part and it wiggled or turned underneath her, but there were no crashes or tantrums over it.
Morgan crawled up onto the picnic table in the big room for the first time today. Each of the kiddos has to try it. She really wasn't very impressed with the feeling (fussed) so it didn't bother her at all when I told her that she had to get down and helped her off.
I said "Hello!" to one of the kiddos today and Morgan immediately put her arm up to her ear and started saying, "uhlo!" over and over. She was also putting one of stethoscopes up to her ear like it was a phone.
