Morgan ate a bite or two of her dried plums and all of her cinnamon roll at breakfast. At lunch she ate seconds on cantaloup and all of her scrambled eggs, waffles and hashbrowns.
This morning Morgan's hair was in her face and I just mentioned that I would have to put a pony in her hair before breakfast. She went racing over to the changing table door where they are stored, then turned around with her pointer finger up on both hands and started saying, "two-two-two" until I asked her, "Do you want two?" "Yeah!" she nodded and answered enthusiastically. : ) It was really cute!
I don't know which Morgan things is greater -- brushing her own teeth or watching Gary floss and brush his. She seems him out there with the floss or toothbrush and both she and Joslyn just make a bee-line there chuckling and grinning like it was the best activity ever! : )
Morgan was very interested int he backpacks and the waist packs today. She kept messing with them until she figured out how to both hook and unhooke a couple of them. That is quite a feat -- one which many of our older kiddos cannot do.
Morgan realized that a couple of the books that are out with this toy exchange have music buttons on them today. She was "reading" them and pushing buttons to make them 'sing' over and over with a big grin on her face.

Morgan ate no mixed fruit and all of her kix cereal at breakfast. At lunch she ate a bite of her bread and all of the ham out of her ham sandsich, all of her broccoli and no mandarin oranges.
Morgan did a great job of listening, coopereating and playing well until 9:45 and then it was like a switch flipped for about an hour. She started having tantrums over just little things (I seriously can't even remember what they were now), so took a break in the crib a couple times. She had a hard time regrouping the seconds time. After that she did much better again. She probably just isn't feeling 100% yet. I know I'm not. (I felt like having a tantrum a couple times too, but refrained!) : )
Morgan was exploring the "new" toys and checking them out. She was playing with the flip phones quite a bit. She kept jabbering into one of them for a while, then handing it to me to "talk" for a while. When I handed it back she would 'talk' some more. It was pretty cute!
Morgan also spent quite a bit of time exploring and playing with the legos. She would bring several to me to "help" her put together. She also brought me over one of the lego men and kept saying "My guy" until I helped her put him on top of what we had built.

Morgan ate a bite of rice and raisins at breakfast. At lunch she ate a bite of her carrots, about half of her french bread and all of her dried apricots and her meatloaf.
Morgan had a pretty good day today, only one melt down and one other time when she started, but wiped it right up! : ) Her nose also didn't run as much today, so maybe she is starting to feel better.
We did sidewalk chalk outside today and Morgan really enjoyed both watching the other kiddos draw and playing with the chalk herself. She really didn't draw much, but she enjoyed coming over to 'get more chalk'. She actually spent most of her time with her hand in the bucket just kind of shuffling it around. : )
We got out the parachute this morning and Morgan was so excited. She really didn't understand what we were doing with it or how to follow the instructions of "little waves", "big waves", "up", "down", but it was great fun anyway!

Morgan ate all of her cinnamon toast and seconds on grapes at breakfast. At lunch she ate a bite of her chicken, no canned cherries, about half of her dinner roll and all of her mashed potatoes.
Morgan did quite a bit of block play this morning. I love it when I get to observe her watching what one of the other kiddos is building and how they are doing it. It amazes me how often she will watch for several minutes, then head over to try to imitate it. You can usually tell that she is trying to imitate it by how she will keep looking intently at theirs as she works on hers.
Morgan had a pretty good morning overall. She had one medium melt-down before breakfast and another one before lunch. The one before lunch definitely had more intensity, but then she was both hungry and tired, so what can one expect!?
Morgan and Jadey were sitting side by side at the little picnic table in the dramatic play area pretending to "feed" each other ice cream. It looked really cute!
Morgan is a regular little jack rabbit now. She jumps like the big kiddos off of the climber inside and onto the mattress. Not only that, but she is able to get both feet off almost all the time when just jumping on the floor also.

Morgan ate all of her peaches and seconds on bagels at breakfast. At lunch she ate a bite of salad with ranch, a couple bites of macaroni and cheese and no corn. She was just wiped out and that was after an hour morning nap, even.
She been yawning, rubbing her eyes and poking her ears all morning before breakfast, so I decided to give her a morning nap instead of trying to get her to make it through. Her little nose ran almost steady (literally) all of awake time, she sneezed a ton and she just seemed so miserable. Poor little girl! No wonder she was so testy yesterday if that was coming on.
Bode and Kenzie were sitting in the big block "boat" today and Morgan went over to them and was "feeding" them with her hands, like she would a pet. Both Bode and Kenzie really got a kick out of that and were cracking up. Morgan loved making them laugh and did it for quite a while. When she finally quit, Kenzie started imitating her and "feeding" Bode!
Morgan cuddled with me a couple times for about 10 minutes each. She wasn't really cranky, but was pretty loppy and just out of it. She was kind of watching what was going on around her and once in a while would chuckle a little.

Morgan ate a bite of pear and all of her blueberry muffin at breakfast. At lunch she ate a bite of tuna and a bite of her orange slices and all of her saltines and her sweet potatoes.
Morgan was pretty sensitive and testy all morning. I started tracking how many times she melted down after the first couple and there were 14 of them. It seemed like it was over anything and everything. The good thing was that none of them lasted very long. I wasn't able to put her in her bed when it happened after Kenzie went to sleep a little before 9:00, but I had her lay on the couch and that seemed to help also.
Morgan was doing lots of yawning and poking at her ears all morning too, so maybe she was having a tired morning because of the gray day. Her nose was also running, so she may be getting Kenzie's cold, too.
Speaking of Kenzie, Morgan walked up to Kenzie and told her "Hi Kenzie" several times today. She says her name really cute! : )
Morgan went over to the shelf where we keep the "special books" that we read at story time and pointed up there and said what sounded like, "Let's see!" I thought that was pretty funny because that is usually what either Gary or I say as we are standing there deciding which books to read. : )
Everson was sharing and playing with Morgan very nicely for about 10 minutes this morning. It was really sweet and she loved it. Cypress was also helping her stack blocks this morning and letting her knock them over, which she loved, too.

Morgan ate about half of her fruit salad and seconds on chex cereal at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her tomato soup and a bite of both apple slices and roast beef sandwich.
Morgan was stacking all of the dinosaur lego type deals. They have a set of feet and you can put whichever head and tail you want one them. She had all of the feet stacked together and then, on top she had two heads. It was pretty funny and she knew it when she showed it to me. She had a huge grin on her face and she was doing her silly little belly out thing! : )
Morgan was reading quite a few books today and then decided she wanted to have the one Kenzie was looking at. We told her to give it back and she did right away, saying "Here go!" as if she was being the best little helper and sharing one of hers with her. : )
We went outside this morning and all the kiddos loved that! Morgan spent most of her time playing in one of the little cars. She did stop a couple times to ask me to throw one of the balls for her to "fetch". : ) It is so cute how she "tells" me that's what she wants. She will bring me the ball, then point out to the yard. If I don't do it right away, she will pat my leg, point back out to the yard than take a couple steps in that direction like she is going to go get it before I even throw it. : )
