Morgan ate all of her whole wheat cinnamon toast and thirds on grapes at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her mashed potatoes, a couple bites of her dinner roll and a bite of both canned cherries and home made chicken strips.
This morning Kenzie crashed and bumped her ahead a little on the wall. Gary picked her up and gave her a love and cuddle for a minute or so until she wanted down. Morgan had obviously been watching the whole thing because she went over and bonked her head on the same spot that Kenzie had then looked over to Gary for a love. He had to give her one, of course and she was just beaming.
After Gary was done cleaning up from breakfast he came in and went over and sat on the little step under the big window. Morgan walked over to him and said, "Hi!" like she hadn't seen him all day then raced over and gave him repeated big hugs, wrapping her arms around him tightly and making a contented "ohhhh" sound. Gary loved it! : )
Morgan brought one of the dress-up hats to me and actually said "hat" as she handed it to me. She then tipped her head toward me to help me out. She also managed to get one of the mittens on by herself (not the thumb) and was so proud of herself.
Morgan has been very interested in stacking the blocks in the back room. The ones that are out right now actually are kind of interlocking and sometimes she doesn't get them on just right to interlock, but she is great at stacking them and has made some pretty tall towers before they topple.

Morgan ate all of her peaches and thirds on whole wheat bagel at breakfast. At lunch she ate a bite of her finely chopped salad with ranch, all of her corn and seconds on home-made macaroni and cheese.
Morgan was doing a lot of talking on the phone this morning. She was walking around with it up to her ear (I haven't see her hold it down the middle of her back for quite a while now) and saying lots of "hi's and "bye"s. I think I heard a "gumma" that I thought might be 'Grandma'.
Morgan was in an excellent mood (happy and playing great) until about 10:15 then it was like a switch flipped and she was fussy off and on until nap time. She wasn't aggressive at all though, just fussy and easily frustrated. Little things were getting under her skin, like a book not coming out of the book rack quick enough, one of the kiddos standing on the scarf she was holding... Her little voice was kind of hoarse and she was pretty rattly, so she probably just isn't feeling too well. She also went to sleep pretty quickly, so being tired played a part, I'm sure. She snuggled with me for 5-10 minutes several times today in addition to the usual brief hugs. I had to admit that I enjoyed the cuddle time with my sweet little Morgie! : )
She is sleeping very restlessly -- tossing and turning and mumbling, but no crying yet and she is still asleep. I hate it when they aren't feeling well, because it is so hard to tell what is wrong. If any of them have had a headache like I have had two out of the last three days, I truly feel for them!
She is getting up on the couch pretty regularly now (especially if she has the soft stretchy pants like she has on today. She is so happy and proud of herself! She usually has a book to look at when she get up, but sometimes she will just crawl up and sit there looking around like she is a queen on her throne!
Several different times today Morgan came over when her nose was running (to get it wiped, it looked like). Two of the times I am sure of that because she came over and started trying to get in my apron's tissue pocket. I thought that was pretty good! : )

Morgan ate all of her pears and seconds on blueberry muffin at breakfast. At lunch she ate a bite of her orange slices, all of her sweet potatoes and seconds on tuna on saltine crackers.
Morgan started getting fussy this morning about 10 minutes before breakfast. She must have been feeling a little overwhelmed or over stimulated, but because she walked right over to the "box", stopped and looked back at me then put her arms up to the box, wanting in. I helped her over and she was a happy camper until breakfast. She just needed some alone space for the moment. Connor did come join her after the first couple minutes. i watched closely to make sure she was okay with that and she acted glad to see him. They played nicely in it until breakfast time.
Morgan came over and wanted up to snuggle in my lap several times this morning. Not only that, but she actually sat there for several minutes calmly before wanting down to wander off to play again. She didn't really seem fussy, just kind of tired acting. One of our cuddle times, I was kind of absentmindedly playing with her ear. When I quit she grabbed my hand and put it back up to her ear again so i would continue. It must have been soothing.
Morgan has been doing the "thank you" sign fairly often lately. It doesn't really matter if I am having her say thank you, someone else or if I just say it myself. She will do the sign regardless. It is really cute!

Happy Valentine's day! I hope are having a good day!
Morgan ate all of her fruit salad and chex cereal at breakfast. At lunch she ate most of her apple pieces, all of her tomato soup and seconds on roast beef sandwich.
Morgan bonked Kenzie on the head with a toy first thing today, but I was right there and made her immediately try to comfort her and told her that bonking hurt! I was pretty animated about it and she looked at me with pretty big eyes and concern on her face. I think it left an impression. She didn't do any more hitting the rest of the morning, at least...
Later she was bonking herself on the head with one of the play water bottles and I made myself not laugh at it or respond in a fun way. I told her to "be gentle to my Morgie" and then just down played it by moving away. The problem is that the other kiddos do think it is funny and laugh at her and I don't know quite how to combat that. I tried to take one of them away with me and distract them, but there was another one right there egging her on! Hmmmm....
Morgan was playing great and kind of made a whimpering sound during her play. Bode raced right over to her and asked, "You need help, Morgan?" She didn't need anything, but she was happy to have him race over and talk to her anyway. She rewarded him with a big smile.
Morgan brought one of the boots over several times to put on her hand (she thinks they are either hand puppets or mittens, I'm not sure which!). She also brought mittens and hats for me to help her with too. I think it is funny because as soon as I have it on her she immediately takes it off and is handing it back to me to put on her again.

Morgan ate all of her oatmeal and seconds on dried plums at breakfast. At lunch she ate bites of mandarin oranges, about half of her biscuit and all of her hashbrown casserole.
About 30 minutes after you guys left this morning, Morgan went over to her family poster and was saying "hi" to you guys in the pictures and blowing kisses at you. It was really cute.
Morgan was very rough today. I know she isn't trying to be mean at this stage, but she was being very physical with several of the kiddos today. Some of it is just the typical toy taking and trying to oust others our of the position she wants to be in (at the gate, my lap, at the kitchen set or picnic table...), but some of it is more deliberate. Today she was pulling on both Joslyn and Emily's hair and wouldn't let go until we physically removed her hand. She also scratched Connor pretty good on the side of his face and was doing quite a bit of hitting. She was slapping at Jadey today and Jadey didn't like it at all. Morgan ended up getting bit! : ( I am trying to just shadow Morgan a lot closer so that I can catch her redirect her before it gets out of hand.
Morgan was playing with one of the little play ice cream spoons and a cup today. She accidentally stuck the spoon down her throat too far and gagged herself. She obviously was intrigued because she then did it repeatedly. She never did gage herself to the point of actually throwing up, but it sounded awfully close a couple times.
She woke up screaming after just about 45 minutes nap this afternoon (and woke up two of the bigger kiddos), so I ended up putting her in the little room (Kenzie wasn't here today) so she could go back to sleep without waking up all of the sleeping big kiddos. I wonder if either he ears or throat are sore and that is what woke her up (and is causing her to be more aggressive -- just feeling feisty!). I just don't know!

Morgan ate seconds on whole wheat french bread and about half of her cantaloupe at breakfast. At lunch she ate about half of her dried mango bits and her crescent roll and all of her turkey and her squash.
Morgan was talking into the play telephones multiple times today. She would say either "ello" or "daddy" most of the time or just jabber. I did think I heard her say "Jadey" once too.
Morgan was standing at the big room window today and started bonking her head against the glass, then turning around grinning to see if anyone was watching and laughing at her. Her usually supporters in this game (Connor and Bode) were not here yet so she was a little disappointed at first, then Gary laughed and all was well again. Later on in the day she was bonking her head with her hand and saying "ow!" over and over again. I just caught the tail end of the session on video. It was pretty funny!
Morgan was wrestling one of the teddy bears on the mattress and really enjoying that. She was also bringing over one of the bears to share with me and for me to give it loves. At first I just held it, because I wasn't sure what she wanted. She took it back from me and hugged it then gave it back to me. That is exactly how I show her how to play with the toys -- I will do it then hand it to her to try. I thought that was pretty good!

Morgan ate all of her fried sweet potatoes and seconds on whole wheat toast at breakfast. At lunch she ate a couple bites of kiwi and all of her saltines, ham and bean soup.
Morgan spent quite a bit of time looking at books in the book area with jadey and Connor. They sat in their engaged in their own thing peacefully for about 15 minutes!
I was sitting on the floor with a couple of the other kiddos when Gary put Morgan over the gate after washing her up from eating breakfast. She came racing over to me and lay her head on my shoulder like she hadn't seen me for a week! It was really cute. She came over and gave me loves several other times today too, which was precious!
She was walking around chanting "ah-ooo, ah-ooo" over and over today for several minutes. I always think that is so funny and it makes me wonder what they think they are saying or what they are thinking while they are doing things like that. : )
The "Happy and you Know it" song came on the cd today in the back room and Morgan just lit up, stopped what she was doing and did the clapping, stomping and hurray! motions as it sang them. It was fun to watch her listen, process and respond to the song. She was also dancing to some of the other music too, which is always cute!
Morgan decided that my apron made a great 'peek-a-boo' blanket today. She kept coming over to me, putting it over her head then pulling it down with an 'aboo!' sound when she saw me. She is so great!
