12/8/11

Morgan ate all of her blueberries and most of her blueberry bread pudding at breakfast.  At lunch she ate a bite of her ground turkey burger on a bun and all of her green beans and kiwi.

Nora came for a few hours today and the "big" girls all had to greet her.  It was like she was a little magnet when she first came, as you can see by this picture.

Kenzie was talking on one of the flip phones for a while today.  I heard her saying, "hello football game!"  Morgan immediately started to imitate her.  You might want to visit with her about it and see if she can give you a heads-up as to what is going to happen this Friday evening!  : )

As you can see in these pictures, the kiddos had fun putting the little stuffed animals up into the window sill today.  Most of them didn't stay up very well, so it was an ongoing project for about 15 minutes!

12/7/11

Morgan ate all of her whole wheat jelly toast and thirds on dried mangoes at breakfast.  At lunch she ate all of her beef and bean burrito, about half of her tropical fruit and a bite of her steamed broccoli.

Morgan has been so funny with how she will pick up any book, start looking at it and say "I found my favorite".  Jadey has been doing it too and I am not sure who started it.  Now Kenzie and Emily have picked up on it also!  : )

I had to take a picture of Morgan today when she dressed up all by herself in a hard had and work boots.  With her tutu on, I thought it just looked priceless!

This morning we looked out the big window and there was a little two point buck strolling up the sidewalk by our front fence.  He started to turn up into our driveway toward the big window, but changed his mind and kept on walking up the sidewalk instead.  We were to slow to get a picture.

Alayna, Morgan and Kenzie helped me make this "train" and then played on it for the rest of the play time in the block room.  Morgan wouldn't give up her seat as the driver, but had fun making chugging and Choo-choo sounds while she played.

Last night I got out the little roadway carpet and put it out in the back room with the little cars.  All three of "my kiddos" really had fun driving their cars on it for quite a while.  They were making car motor sounds and then saying "beep-beep" when they wanted one of the other kiddos to move out of their way.  It was pretty cute!

12/6/11

Morgan ate all of her prunes and seconds on cinnamon roll at breakfast.  At lunch she ate all of her melon, bites of scrambled eggs and about half of her waffles and hashbrowns.  She may have eaten more, but Jadey kind of gagged and vomited, which ruined her appetite, I think.  She had been eating right along until then.  When that happened she looked at Jadey's plate and said, "I'n done!"  I didn't blame her!

We hadn't gotten out the work benches until this morning and Morgan was thrilled! She literally spent over 40 minutes playing with and around it.  She came over to see what Jadey was doing on hers a couple times, but went right back over to work at hers.

Morgan brought me one of the dolls today and the pair of jeans that were supposed to be on him.  She held them up and said, "Help fix it.  He fall out!"  I thought that was a great way to state it!  : )  Also with the doll she was carrying it around, feeding it with a bottle, singing to it and covering it.  I love the way she lays it down, covers it and sings, "Nah-Night Baby!"  It is so sweet!

Today Emily found one of the play rag/napkin/potholder deals and was pretending that she had an owie and it was her "cold cloth".  Morgan thought that was a wonderful idea and had to find one and imitate the action!

In all the times I have taken Morgan potty she hasn't actually went yet, so I am backing off somewhat until she shows more readiness, interest and success.

12/5/11

Morgan ate all of her Kix cereal and mixed fruit at breakfast.  At lunch she ate all of her sweet potatoes and ham sandwich and a couple bites of mandarin oranges.

Morgan was very interested in exploring all of the new toy exchange stuff.  She especially liked the "new" stuffed animals, the flip phones, and the dolls in this set.

With the stuffed animals she was carrying them around, dancing with them, and then spent quite a bit of time lining them up.  I was sitting on the floor and she kept lining them up in all different ways beside me.  She also was piling them up on me and when I acted like I had accidentally dumped them on the floor she would crack up!

When she was playing with the flip phone, part of the time she was just walking around with it up to her ear talking and jabbering.  The thing that she was doing that I thought was hilarious was when she was holding it up to the middle of her face so that it was actually touching her nose and forehead, then looking around the room with an eye partially showing on either side.  She did that and laughed over and over.  I don't know if it reflected funny or was just an interesting illusion for her, but she was entertained by it.

12/2/11

Morgan ate most of her rice and all of her raisins at breakfast.  At lunch she ate all of her meatloaf and dried apricots, most of her french bread and a couple bites of cooked carrots.

Morgan was laying on the couch by Gary and he was calling his hand the "Morgan getter" and having it attack her tummy, arm pits and under her chin.  Every time he paused, she would tell him, "Let's do it again!"  It was really funny.

Doctor Morgan was pretty busy today.  She had a patient in Jadey (was taking her temperature by putting one of the doctor tools across her forehead, while carefully holding her hair back away from her forehead!).  She was also working on one of the dolls by Gary and they were conversing about what she was doing and how the doll was feeling, which she loved.

Morgan was very sweet today when Thomas pulled her hair.  She didn't cry or even fuss.  She just came over and asked "Fix pony" to me, with a semi-frustrated frown on her face.  He had a pretty good handful of hair, too, so I was pretty surprised.

12/1/11

Morgan ate all of her grapes and seconds on cinnamon toast at breakfast.  At lunch she ate a bite of her dinner roll, all of her mashed potatoes and about half of her canned cherries and her turkey (substituted for chicken strips).

Morgan immediately noticed the new picture on the calendar in the big room (for December).  She looked at it and said, "Ohhhh! They kissin'" with the sweetest look on her face.  Later on in the day she was playing with two off the stuffed animal puppies and she put their noses together and pointed up at the calendar picture then said, "They kissin' like them".  : )

Morgan has been calling Jadey, "Jadey bear" several times today. Not sure where she got that.  I don't think I have every called her that.  maybe it is an extension of Monte Bear.  ??  She and Jadey vacillated between playing great together and being feisty with each other.  Most of the time when they were being feisty it was over space disagreement.  It seemed like wherever one of them wanted to be the other also wanted to be there.

Today I was doing some videoing of the kiddos dancing to CD music.  Morgan danced for a couple minutes than had to stop and race over saying, "Me see, me see".  I always think that is so funny when they think they can see themselves when they are behind the camera instead of in front of it.  : )

11/30/11

Morgan ate all of her peaches and seconds on whole wheat bagel at breakfast.  At lunch she ate all of her macaroni and cheese, and corn, a bite of ham.

As you already know, we had a kind of crazy morning with the car thief and fugitive loose in our neighborhood and police officers all around.  Here are a couple pictures.  Between them and the street sweepers, there was lots of watching out the window (by us as well as the kiddos!).

Morgan didn't have anything in her hair when she came today and she came over to me and said, "I need pony (pointing to her hair).  It wild!"  I just cracked up!

Morgan likes to jump off the balance beam climber deal and onto the mattress, doing a somersault when she lands.  She always calls it a "back flip".  One of the times today she kind of flopped on her belly instead of doing a somersault and I asked if that was a 'back flip'.  She chuckled, stuck out her belly and said, "No!"  It was pretty cute!

I don't know how many times a week, but pretty often, Morgan will walk around (or look at a book) and sing "Everywhere that Gary went" instead of "Mary went" to the Mary had a little lamb song.  Gary loves it!
