Morgan ate a couple bites of her mixed fruit and about half of her Kix cereal at breakfast. At lunch she ate everything -- kiwi, broccoli and ham sandwich.
Morgan went over to the poster with pictures of different kind of block structures on it and pointed to one, asking "How 'bout we build that?" Of course, 'we' meant Lauralea. : ) We did build the car-type thing she asked for and she was so excited. It didn't last more than about 10 minutes before she decided she was done with it and ready to tear it down and do something different with them.
One thing she and Kenzie made with them was two slabs then stacked them on top of each other like a very precarious two layer
stage. She and Kenzie each had one and what they were doing then was
even funnier. One of them would call out an invented (made-up) word and
then other one would laugh like crazy at it. Then they would switch
and the other one would call out a word and on it went. I decided it
was their version of a comedy show. : )
Another
thing they were doing with the big blocks was playing what Morgan called
"bumper boats" and then what Kenzie called "go fast". They were almost
the same game. In Morgan's they each sat ON one of the blocks and
tried to crash into other blocks and in Kenzie's they stood and pushed
one of the big blocks around the room as fast as possible into other
blocks. They both were laughing the majority of the time.
Outside
most mornings (including this one) the kiddos ask to do bubbles. I use this huge multi-bubble wand and they chase them and
try to pop them before the fall to the ground or go too high in the
air. For a while today the wind was just perfect to blow some HUGE ones
to chase.
