Morgan played more with the other kiddos (primarily Kenzie and Emily) than she has for quite a while. For about half an hour there were four of them in the box where "the babies couldn't get them". Riley was the only "baby" awake at the time, but... : ) In the picture she is doing what she loves to do and had done the entire time this toy exchange has been out -- you guessed it -- duplo characters! : ) Look at the focus on her face.
Thomas really hasn't figured out that it isn't a good idea to get or be in Morgan's space when she's engaged playing. Yesterday afternoon he was in her space and she told him to "move back!" He hit at her and she told him, "Don't do that, 'cuz I'm gonna graduate!" I asked her when and she answered with "'Cuz he hit me!" She obviously thought I asked her why and it sounded like a good reason to her! : )
Today we had repeatedly moved Thomas away from her playing with the duplos and he went back one too many times. She chomped on his arm when he tried to reach, yet again, for one of her Tiggers. If course, we firmly reminded her that biting is NOT okay and she needs to use her words to tell him move back and/or ask us to help move him again, but...
Because of the smoke and a couple kiddos not having warm enough jackets we stayed in to play this morning and split into our small groups in the back room. Morgan and Kenzie really enjoyed both jumping on the mattress and playing with the school buses in the other back room.
