Morgan ate all of her cinnamon roll and most of her prunes at breakfast today. At lunch she ate all of her "yummy" scrambled eggs and her cantaloup, and about half of her waffles and hashbrowns.
We were singing "Happy Birthday" to Nora a couple times today and each time Morgan requested "Sing my momma birthday". So we sang, "Happy birthday to Morgie's mommy, Happy birthday Momma Amy..." and Morgan just beamed! She was thrilled not only that we were singing to Mom, but that we were using her own name in the song, I think. : )
Morgan started out the morning pretty hard (three breaks before breakfast -- with two other non-break incidents). They were all because she was started out being aggressive to someone (Baby Mia, Riley, Thomas and Kenzie -- at different times) and then would not stop or even respond when we tried to help her through the incident. Only one of them (with Kenzie) was a mutual incident. The rest were pretty much out of the blue or due to one of the babies just coming a little too close (but not touching her). After breakfast it was much better with only one other close call, but she pulled herself together and cooperated on her own with that one. Maybe she was mostly hungry since it got better after breakfast.
The other thing that might have helped her regroup was when she asked all of the bigger kiddos if they wanted to play with her after breakfast and they all told her "No!" She is a smart little girl and she may have made the connection between her pre-BK behavior and their response -- I don't know. I do know she was sad about that and I had her come cuddle with me and re-fill her little love tank. Nora scooted over to us (as we cuddled on the floor). Typically Morgan would have yelled at her, ignored her or must moved somewhere else, but this time she settled for playing with and loving on Nora. Nora was laying her head in Morgan's lap for loves again and again. Morgan actually responded and hugged her back, lay her own head gently against Nora's and was smiling all over. It was very sweet!
