Morgan ate all of her craisins and about half of her bran flakes at breakfast. At lunch she ate most of her cheese pizza and all of her steamed cauliflower and tropical fruit.
Kenzie's mom and dad told us that they heard her cheering "Go Niners!" this weekend. Morgan is having her influence. Peer pressure starts pretty young, I would say! : ) They thought that was pretty funny.
Morgan was walking around singing "Jingle Bells" at close to the top of her lungs several times today. I was pretty cute and very exuberant! : )
We had bought some tutus for dress-ups and some new books, so we
wrapped them up and let the kiddos unwrap them this morning. They all
had fun with that and immediately started putting on tutus and wanting
to read the new books. Gary read them to the kiddos for story time.
She was very busy exploring the new toy exchange today. She
especially enjoyed the play baking dramatic play things (mainly the
cookies and cupcakes. She kept coming over to feed me one or the other
of them, or whatever it was that she was "mixing up" in the bowl.
Morgan had a purse over one arm and a wallet in the other today and was walking around saying, "I going work!" Pretty soon all of the 'big' girls had purses and were also "going work". : )
The
journals may be a little briefer for the next couple weeks (or late)
because our new baby Nora has begun full time and we are just learning her cues,
schedule and so forth. I may be busy with her during nap time, when I
usually complete these, but I will do my best.

Wow! I can't believe Christmas is a week from Sunday! Whew! I have a busy weekend ahead of me!
Morgan ate all of her malt-o-meal and raisins at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her spaghetti and salad with ranch and about half of her mixed fruit.
It amazes me how often this happens. You know how I had told you how well she had been doing this morning (not biting, using her words, listening and cooperating, no major melt-downs...). Well, today she bit and when we tried to remove her from the situation she fought us like crazy and had a 30+ minute melt-down. Things had been going so well, it is hard to believe it could happen even after seeing it! That's what I get for bragging, I guess! : )
After breakfast, Emily didn't even hesitate, she headed right over to Morgan to get her to help her pull her sleeves down! It is so cute and Morgan LOVES helping them.
We have several stuffed animals out that have arms that Velcro around each other in a hug. They have figured out that they can also wrap them around their arms. Morgan had about 5 of them hooked over her arm at one time and kept trying to get more, but couldn't get those ones to stay.
Morgan wanted in the igloo to play when there were already a couple. Since we have been having the biting issues, we have been being very vigilant about having more than two kiddos anywhere close. I told her she could have a "turn next". She said, "OK!" great and waited until the two got out very well.
I kind of tweaked my shoulder and Morgan just came racing across the room saying, "Me kiss shoulder", which she did very sweetly then gave me a love.

Morgan ate all of her blueberries and most of her cinnamon raisin english muffin at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her potato salad and canned cherries and most of her chicken on saltines.
Morgan was trying to pull up her sleeves to wash and they weren't cooperating 100%. She held them up to me and asked for help then told me "They're kind of tricky!" That just cracked me up! She said some of the funniest things. Sometimes it is when she is trying to be funny, but often it is just in the course of the day.
Morgan was using the pretend soda bottle as a sprayer today. She was 'spraying' it on the mirror as she said "Quirt-quirt", then rubbing it "clean" with one of the "cold cloths". She got everyone else in "Cleaning" mode also, so our big room should be spick and spam. : )
The doll she played with a lot today was baby "Riley". I thought it was so sweet when she lay one of the blankets down, the doll on top of it, lay down beside it and started singing "Goo - nigh, Riley Roo!" over and over. She was also singing "E-I-N-G-O" (BINGO) to her too, which was cute.

Morgan ate all of her peaches and seconds on biscuit at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her baked beans, pineapple and dinner roll and about half of her steamed broccoli.
Morgan turned the book area bench into her "motorcycle" by tipping it onto its back so she could sit on the seat deal. She was making motorcycle sounds and inviting different friends to "ride with me!"
Morgan was so excited when jingle bells came on the CD we were playing today. She started dancing and singing at the top of her lungs. It was really cute.
Gary went outside to take several poopy diapers out to the outside trash. When he left she told me, "Gary is a stink pot!" That isn't a phrase I use and I don't think I have heard Gary use it so I am assuming it might be one from home. It just cracked me up. I wonder if taking poopy diapers might have triggered the stink part of it! : )

Morgan ate all of her hashbrowns and seconds on waffles at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her shrimp, brown rice and peppers and a bite or two of oranges.
After I put the pony tails in Morgan's hair this morning, Gary complimented her on how pretty they looked. The silly girl then went over to the mirror, looked at her self and started rubbing her hair with her hands (as if to mess it up), all the while cracking up in her deep little voice! : ) Gary told her, "No more compliments for you!"
Thomas bumped into her this morning and she started to get sad/angry about it. I asked her if Thomas could give her a hug and she stopped being fussy about it, but when he came closer to her she said, "No he tinky!" Sure enough! He was poopy!
Morgey stubbed her toe this morning on the edge of the changing table then went over to the shelves and round one of the play cleaning rag/napkin/potholder deals, asked me to "fold it" then put it on her foot for a "cold cloth"! That just cracks me up. Within a minute or so it was "all better"!
Morgan went over to her family poster today and pointed at her doggies and tried to tell me their names. It sounds like they are "Chester" and "Cubby". I'm sure I wasn't hearing the second one quite right, but it was close enough that she didn't correct me when I said it back to her.
We have been trying to remember to do our "Morgan (and other kiddos), where are you?" game at least once a day to help them learn to respond when we call their names. All of the children are beginning to stop what they are doing, look at us, raise their hand and say "Here I am!" It is really cute. I will try to video it in the near future. Today, even before we had done if, Morgan says, "Where cold cloth at?" in the same tone of voice that I do the "game", then she answered for it with a "Here I am!" I cracked up!

Morgan ate all of her cheerios and about half of her banana at breakfast. At lunch she drank all of her tomato soup and ate most of her grilled cheese sandwich and a couple bites of apple slice.
Morgan continued to dance with the angel bear for about 10 minutes after you left this morning. She was spinning, moving him up and down and all around. It was pretty cute!
Gary and I both just love listening and watching Morgan as she "reads" books and sings. Many times she sings just any song but once in a while she sings a song that is related to the book. That is just adorable. Today she was looking at a book with stars in it and singing "Twinkle, Twinkle". : )
We had another biting incident today. I know it may not seem like it, but we are working hard on this issue. Last Friday we had three different kiddos bite (one of them was Morgan) and three different ones get bit (one also being Morgan)! Ugh! It is frustrating, because they seem to be learning it from each other and so it escalates. We are VERY stern and serious about it with the "biter" and then turn all of our attention and energy to the "victim". It is often a spacial issue (especially with the others) so we are being even more vigilant when more than one kiddo is in an area. With Morgan's it has been more unpredictable. We both Friday's and today's she just walked over and bit Alayna's arm when she wasn't even close to her to begin with. I haven't quite figured out the trigger. Biting is NOT okay regardless of what is going on, and we are working on both ends of the issue, with the focus on "Use your words and tell them what you want!" and "NO BITING PEOPLE! Teeth are for food, not people!" If you have any suggestions, please feel free to let me know.
Morgan played with one of the babies a lot today. She was wrapping her and dumping her out. I have been working on teaching her HOW to bundle wrap the doll rather than just doing it all the time now and I think she is starting to get it a little. She also was holding the naked dolly up over the step and said, "Baby goin' peein'". That just cracked Gary and I up! The other thing she said that was funny while playing with the doll was when she was shaking the doll around a little and looking at its hair. She started laughing and said, "Wild hair!" : )

Morgan ate all of her craisins and oatmeal at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her applesauce and grilled cheese sandwich and most of her pea and pasta dish with grated cheese on top.
Morgan is so cute when she sings along with the song "Feliz Navidad". We have it on a couple of our holiday CDs and when she sings it, it sounds like "Feely Nah-nee-nod". I always move over by her to listen to her sing it better because it is so cute.
Morgan told one of her friends "Just a second" about two minutes after Gary had told one of the kiddos that about something. It was done almost exactly the way (tone and body language) he had done it. I then asked her, "Are you pretending to be Gary?" She got the cutest little look on her face, pushed out her belly and said, "Ya!" in a deep voice. Cute!
Morgan has found herself a new job. After meal times the last couple days she has gone around helping the kiddos pull their sleeves down after eating and washing. I usually do it, but I was busy feeding the baby Thursday morning so I asked her to help me. She was thrilled and must have decided it was her new job. She does it great, going over to them and asking, "Sweeve down?" and then pulling them down for them. : )
