Morgan ate a bite of her pears and seconds on whole wheat toast at breakfast. At lunch she ate a bite of her steamed broccoli and all of her pineapple, biscuit and baked beans. She LOVED the baked beans! : )
Morgan started bringing me books to read or look at with her first thing this morning and continued it most of the the morning off and one. It is really cute because she gets the book, brings it over and hands it to me then turns around and backs over to my lap and sits down. It is quite the process and very cute!
Morgan was carrying one toy or another around most of the time that we weren't reading this morning. Most of the time it was either the little care bear monkey or one or another piece of play food.
Morgan was pretty fussy from about 8:15 to breakfast. I finally broke down and gave her a binky because she was upsetting the other babies and they were crying in empathy (or frustration)! : ) She did fine after getting her tummy full at breakfast and didn't end up having a morning nap or her binky until regular nap time after lunch.
Morgan was walking around with her hands over her face then pulling away, grinning and looking to see who was watching her "peek-a-boo" game.
Morgan brought me the wrist sweat band today and I showed her how it went over her hand onto her wrist. She thought that was great and kept taking it off and coming back over for me to put it back on her over and over and over. She always rewarded me with a chuckle after I put it on, which was super cute! : )

Morgan ate seconds on cinnamon raisin english muffins and had her in and out berry at breakfast. At lunch she ate everything -- potato casserole (rather than tatertot because of food program changes), dinner roll and mandarin oranges.
Morgan was pretty fussy first thing this morning so she took about 1 1/4 hour nap before breakfast. When she work up and had breakfast she was in a much better mood!
She was all over the mattress and climber for a while today. She is so fun to watch as she explores her environments.
Oh, she was being very sweet and loving to me today. Five different times (I was tallying) when I was sitting on the floor she came over and lay her head on or against me to give me a love. She would leave it there until I wrapped my arm around her or lay my head against hers then she looked at me and smiled and went back to playing. So cute and sweet! : )
Morgan was bringing me book after book to read to her this morning. Most of the time we only made it through about 3 or 4 pages before she took it and went to exchange it for another one, but we made it all the way through one or two, I think. : )
She didn't go to the changing table to ask for her binky at all this morning and did great all the was through to lunch. Of course, the morning nap may have helped with both of those things, too. I don't know.

Morgan ate seconds on both chex cereal and banana at breakfast. At lunch she ate most of her ham sandwich and all of her vegetable soup and sweet potatoes.
Morgan was very excited to look at the new books (and pull them all out of the book rack, of course). She really did look at the majority of them though.
She also liked pulling the velcro food apart. I think it is the sound more than anything. She would put them back together again then rip apart, with an amused look on her face. Some of the time she even chuckled a little. I also saw her stop whatever she was doing a couple times when someone else was playing with it and ripped it apart too. : )
Jadey was sitting on my lap today and Morgan came over kind of grumbling on the say. She came over and took a swing at Jadey. Hmmm... I think someone was jealous. She has fussed before when someone else was on my lap, but has never hit them before. I reminded her to use gentle touches, told her I would hold her in a minutes and turned my attention back to Jadey until she was done cuddling. Morgan must have understood, because she fussed briefly, but walked away to find something to play with.
I have moved Morgan's binky out of sight (not on the changing table ledge, so she can't see it. She still went to the table and asked a couple times, but I just said, "Oh oh! Isn't not there and distracted her with some type of play. She fussed a little off and on, but overall did pretty well until not long before lunch.
Morgan has really been trying to climb up onto the couch today. I haven't seen her even try before today, but it was really frustrating her. I helped her up a couple times, but that wasn't really what she wanted it. I think it was just the doing of it herself that she was wanting. : )

Morgan ate all of her malt-o-meal and strawberries at breakfast. At lunch she ate a bite of her biscuit, all of her dried mango bits and seconds on beef barley stew.
Morgan and Connor were doing this cute little crawling game of chase today. Morgan would crawl away from him and look back over her shoulder wanting him to chase her. He, of course, was more than happy to do it and when he would start out after her, she would either laugh and crawl away or laugh and turn around and meet him half way. It was really cute and they were both enjoying it thoroughly.
Morgan was doing the down her back phone talking again today. I managed to get a picture of it finally, but it is pretty blurry because of her moving. I'll keep trying until I get a good one.
Morgan went around to several of the family picture posters and was really examining them. She seemed to be more intrigued with the pets than the people, but did look at the people some too, especially the kiddos.
Morgan realized that she could make the xylophones make music today and was "playing" them for several minutes when we were in the back rooms. She also was making some of the Disney pop-up deals pop up that she hasn't been able to make work before (a couple of the twist or move back and forth ones. She was really watching while Keenan was playing with the pop-ups. He was setting different little people on them and then popping them up so the little people went flying. Morgan thought that was pretty funny and was cracking up.

Morgan ate all of her apple slices and thirds on cinnamon roll (with no icing) at breakfast. At lunch she ate a bite of cherries, seconds on sweet potatoes and all of her tuna on crackers.
We have this whole set of routines and rituals that are developing around Morgan's binky. I think I had already mentioned how she will to go the changing table and point up at the ledge above it where we keep her binky when she starts getting fussy. That is one of the routines. She will usually suck on it for a while then just randomly discard it, wherever she happens to be. Sometimes Connor will find it and he immediately searches for her and tries to stick it back in her mouth. Most of the time, she is happy to have it back. Other times, we won't notice that it has been discarded until either one of the kiddos finds it and brings it to us (they all know it is Morgan's) or until she gets fussy again. We then have a "who can find Morgan's binky?" game. It is pretty funny.
She was into bugging Bode today and just followed him around relentlessly, getting right in is space or trying to take what he was playing with or looking at. She wasn't really being aggressive, just kind of invasive. Bode usually really likes her and tolerates her invading his space great, but today it really got on his nerves and he started and "No Morgan!" chant, which I couldn't help but find a little funny.
I love how Morgan is really starting to participate in many of the actual activities we do now. She reads with us for part of story time most mornings. When she starts getting squirming or insists on grabbing the book, we let her down to go play while story time continues, but she is more and more interested. She is also very interested when we sing songs. She will dance or even do the motions to many songs now. Two of her favorites are "If You're Happy and you Know it" and "Frosty the Snowman". With Frosty she almost always puts up her hand and yells when the cop says "Stop!" with the rest of the kiddos. She also waves "good-bye" at the end. It is SO cute!

Morgan ate seconds on cinnamon whole wheat toast and all of her grapes at breakfast. At lunch she everything -- ham slices, crescent, squash and pineapple.
Morgan was carrying phones around with her today -- with it hanging down behind her back, like she is listening to the conversation through the middle of her back. I really want to get a picture of it, but every time I try she quits before aI can get the camera and get ready.
She was in a much better mood today and ate better too. I don't know what was up, but... I am glad is was short lived, whatever it was.
She was playing with one of the dress-up purses quite a bit today. She was putting things in it and taking things out. Everson had helped her out some, by loading it down pretty good to begin with. She was also just carrying it around, which was pretty cute!
Morgan has begun being our new gate greeter lately. She almost always goes over to the gate when parents and kiddos come in the morning. Most of the time she is either saying "Hi!", waving or doing both.
Morgan was doing some peek-a-boo with Connor in and around the igloo today. They even let Jadey join them for a little while, but she got tired of it pretty quickly.
Morgan was trying to put on one of the dress-up ties today. They are clip ons and she must have seen us or the other kiddos doing it, because she was trying to get it to clip onto the neck of her shirt. When that wasn't successful, she just draped it over her shoulder. : )

Morgan ate no pears and all of her whole wheat bagel at breakfast. At lunch she ate all of her waffles, a couple bites of scrambled eggs and a bite or two of hashbrowns (no orange bits).
Morgan was very fussy in general and cranky with the kiddos (even Connor) first thing this morning, so I put her down for a morning nap before breakfast (about 8:05). She slept for about an hour, then work up when I put Kenzie to bed. She was a little less cranky, but still pretty fussy and tired acting. When I put her back to bed after nap, she didn't go to bed for about 30 minutes -- not crying, just talking or fussing off and on. She ended up sleeping about 1.5 hours at that nap, I think.
Morgan was pretending to drink out of one of the little play cups today a lot. She also kept getting a spoon and started stirring it. She must have been watching me mix up my tea in the morning. It looked a lot like that!
